I have had a few things come up so I have decided to sell our Jim McCune restored Attack From Mars. This one was spared no expense with new Phoenix Arcade decals, a new Mirco playfield, etc. The machine plays very nicely.

2009 restoration with low plays.

Machine is in Salt Lake City, but can be delivered within a reasonable distance (negotiable).

Some pics at the link below. If needed Jim has a large album I should be able to get.

Any mods? Shaker? Bill Ung kit? Speaker/subwoofer upgrades? LEDs?

No mods. I am a purist and prefer the frsh out of the box, factory look.

This applies to the TZ, IJ, Centaur, MB and WH2O that he has also "made new" for us.

Thanks for the clarification. Some people may infer that when you say "no expense spared" that it would have most of the upgrades that I asked about.

free play card expense spared ...just kidding, nice machine, goodluck with your sell

Here are a couple of pics that I took this am. The playfield glass is off, so the relfection you see if off of the playfield itself.

I did add plastic and leg protectors, if those count as a mod.

Those first pictures were taken when I was assembling the pin. This pin is a deal compared to the routed ones I see going for big money !

Beautiful machine. Can you loan me $9990.00?

#10 12 years ago

Let me know when it's time for IJ to go! Good luck with your sale!

Thats a very very nice AFM. I dont mean any offence i think ive just been living under a rock but AFM is a 10k pin now? Since when? I seriously missed this going up in value. Again not being an ass I'm seriously asking as I've genuinely missed this pin going up probably because you don't see them up for sale as much as TAF, MB, MM etc. Good luck with sale!

#12 12 years ago

Good luck- looks like a new pin. Whomever gets it, I'm sure it will be a win/win for both parties.

Yep, you have officially been living under a rock. $10K is a good price for a high end restore AFM. With a route beater running $5K-$6K and the cost of a high end restore, you are coming out ahead and you don't have to wait while the restore takes place.

A machine is worth what people are willing to pay for it. Less AFMs have been available for sale, more people have been looking for one. A restored AFM like this is worth $10K right now, without a doubt. Wouldn't be surprised if an evil retailer or flipper buys this and lists it for more on eBay.

AFM is one of my three grails, but there is no way I would ever consider going $10k on a pin.

I know someone will snatch this up and not think twice about it, but that's a serious amount of scratch for a game.

That pin is gorgeous though!

In the land of 8-9K LE sterns this is a steal.

I found some pictures of the game when it was done in 2009 .
