Anyone know the story of why this game is listed 2 times in archive?

once as bell
https://pinside.com/pinball/archive/frontier-bellgames

once as bally
https://pinside.com/pinball/archive/frontier

I have only seen the Bally version. What is the story?

Id need a playfeild. If they remade it

Quoted from Drano:

They seem to appreciate tough games and they loved Eight Ball when I had it here.

the true beauty of Frontier is that you have to shoot the entire pf to really dominate it, plus it plays oh so slow, then BAM "where the hell did my ball go?" keeps you on your toes.

Toss on top of it a great set of sounds, art, and cheese factor!

Hey Guys... need a little bit of help/guidance here.
As you know I've decided to part with my Frontier but not really looking for cash at this point. Would love to get something in trade from my short list.
I've had a pretty decent offer from one pinsider but I have been hit with several others who seem to think I'm overvaluing this pin.
I figured a decent Frontier was at least in the $3K+ neighbourhood.
I know embryonjohn got one just a couple of months ago for $2400 in player condition and there's another up for trade right now for $3K with a worse playfield than mine. On top of that, I'm letting mine go only after repairing the small bit of wear it has in the blue areas of the den. The rest of the playfield is great, glass is perfect, displays are bright and the cab is decent (with a few hand touch-ups).
I have guys telling me stuff like "I passed on one for $500 a while ago" or "you're going to have to add a lot on top" (for machines also in the $3K+ range).
It has about half the production numbers of a Fathom or Centaur (which both sell for at least as much) and it's a highly sought after 'players' pin that always seems to find it's way into tournament play.
Am I out to lunch assuming that this machine should be $3K +/- in today's market?
All thoughts are welcome.
Thanks in advance

you are spot on in your assesment. They go for 2500 EASILY in clean working order but typically with way more PF wear and issues on the pf that what yours appears to have.

3k is exactly where I would price yours if I was selling and have had multiple offers of 2500+ for mine which is not as nice a pf as yours.

Maybe in Whysnow's neighborhood they are worth more

I looked for 2 full years beforte finally pulling the trigger and got one shipped in from Canada 6 months ago. I think shipping was an additional $250.

My neighborhood when seraching for rare games is pretty much anywhere, lol.

Good luck in the sale Drano, locally I would not go a penny under 2500 and think that would sell quick if doinga cash sale.

Probelm with a trade is everyone always values their game higher.

Quoted from Captive_Ball:

Did you purchase the example that John Robertson at flippers.com was selling? That one was under $2K

Cost was north of 2500. (plus shipping)

#141 7 years ago

you should go get it. Looks to be right in your price range/condition and should clean up nicely.

I think KingPin is driving to TPF and likely willing to bring it for a couple hundred transport fee?
