Got a decent specimen today, though it seems to be missing the head hinges to the cabinet. I thought this machine, like old Bally came with head hinges contrary to the older ones, can anyone confirm?

Also the one missing piece on the PF is the large red center target, is there a repro source for this or someone with a spare? Looks like PBR is out of stock- thanks.

Mine has the hinges. Are there any signs that they were there and someone removed them?

Hinges on mine as well.

While I'm posting I might as well throw in a picture of the newly installed hardtop.

It still needs some work, but you can read more about it in the build thread if you are into that sort of stuff.

yeah there definitely looks like there is screws holes for them, weird... i don't assume anyone has those lying around? I am not even see them on PP parts manual so hard to see if someone is selling repro-

Could someone confirm the dimensions of their center target? Trying to find a source or something equivalent, thanks!

Isn’t it supposed to be the rectangle red stand up target? I’ve seen a bunch switched with the standard circle.

#259 2 years ago

For my Frontier project I was/am working on a bit of a modification of the center target.

I had a piece of the red poly cut down into rectangles.

The cutter got the width right, but shorted me a bit on the height.

If anyone out there needs a translucent rectangle (slightly imperfect) for their Frontier, Paragon, or Nine Ball just send me a PM. I have plenty of extras to spare. I'll even include a set of 3/32" rivets. I can drill the holes but you will have to round off the corners.

that's how i saw all the Frontier i played before, the Bally parts manual call for "ASW-A1-158" but i can't find it on any pinball sites...

I finally have the Hardtopped playfield back into the cabinet.

Far from finished and still working thru some adjustments, but so far I'm happy with how things are coming along.

I can make you one. I believe they have the metal posts in the clear guide. I describe the process here:

Anyone got a project or player's condition sitting around that they aren't going to get to anytime soon and willing to let it go?

#270 6 months ago

Finally got one!

I'm finding the coyote sound FX for the upper lanes is pitched very high. Any idea how to change the pitch? The #18 sound setting is on option 3 already (no chimes setting).

Trying to get my project started and need a little help. J3 for the driver board was broken in half when i got it. I have repinned but need to figure out 3 wires.

I believe all 3 of these are around pins 11-13.

Pin 25 is brown with green stripe. Wires is broken I believe it loops back to the same plug on a second pin.

Get yourself a Pinball Technologies NB2 board and replace any sounds you want. I replaced a variety of sounds in mine as well as adding a prairie soundtrack that runs when a game is in play. I had fun playing around in Pro Tools making it.

Where do you buy it tho? Their website doesn't have a shop.

Send them an email. Stock has been low this year so mileage may vary.
