Fresh Off Route is a term used by Operators. When they use it, it means:

    1. Game does work. It was recently earning money, it was not folded up corroding in some basement or DOA .

    2. The game needs to be shopped. Fresh Off Route is a DISCLAIMER saying that nothing has been done to condition the game prior to sale (Freshly Shopped would be the opposite) .

    Quoted from aberdeentp:

I'm saying where you hear term "fresh" to describe a product it most often has a positive connotation, which is the opposite of a machine coming off a route.

To an Operator "fresh off route" is positive description, because it is a working, earning machine.

In the hobby, "fresh off route" is negative, because collectors want games that have been restored.

    Quoted from aberdeentp:

is it? Why is it coming off a route, possibly due to it constantly breaking down, and not earning money due to a variety of reasons, one of which it's beat to heck and worn out and needs to swapped out with a better looking game. .

It is just an operator's term, that implies a working game that was earning money.

It won't mean the same thing to a lay person.
