This is an official announcement to let the pinball community know that Fremont Arcade is now open featuring 16 pinball machines.

Many of you know my work from the 10 game pinball line-up that I currently have set up in the arcade at the NYNY Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip. Well, I've now finally opened my own arcade and I've included 16 pinball machines in the mix. Most of the pins are LE versions, and most are essentially NIB, modded, and then straight to the arcade floor.

Current titles are:

Harley Davidson 1st Edition Sega
Avengers Hulk Limited Edition
Kiss Limited Edition
Transformers Limited Edition
Game of Thrones Limited Edition
AC/DC Premium
Iron Man Vault
Metallica Pro
Mustang 50th Anniversary Limited Edition
Walking Dead Limited Edition
Wizard of Oz Emerald City Limited Edition
Hobbit Smaug Edition
X-Men Pro
Spiderman (Stern)
Medieval Madness Remake Limited Edition
Star Wars Episode One

In addition to the pinball wall, we are featuring some of the newest and most unique arcade games currently in production, including The World's Largest Pacman, Time Crisis 5 Deluxe with twin 55" monitors, a pair of Moto GP motorcycles, Jurassic Park Arcade, Transformers Deluxe 55" Theater, Typhoon motion ride, and so much more.

We are located at 450 Fremont Street Suite 179, downtown Las Vegas, inside the Neonopolis complex, directly behind Denny's and The Heart Attack Grill.

Oh, please excuse the pathetic banner. We put the larger banner out on Fremont Street to increase exposure until our real signs are installed. We have a 20' custom neon sign being manufactured for above the door, and another facing Fremont Street next to Denny's. They should be up within 2 weeks.

Thanks again for coming by and I'm really sorry I missed you yesterday, Dana. I still don't have a set schedule yet so I'm still just in and out.

Quoted from cavalier88z24:

Is it on dollar bills or card swipe?

All games operate on tokens. Most of the pinballs also have bill acceptors.

Quoted from rotordave:

I'm guessing the previously discussed negotiations with PHOF didn't get too far?

An accurate guess.

What are the hours? 24/7?

Right now, we're trying 11AM-Midnight Sun-Thurs, and staying open until 1AM Friday & Saturday nights.

This is subject to change.

Very cool! How about a Fremont Arcade t-shirt? Don't need it now, but maybe by my next trip to Vegas?

We recently printed t-shirts for the staff. After some changes and improvements to the artwork, customer T's will soon be available for purchase.

Did I miss it? Is there a website or Facebook page for your venue?

Any chance of ghostbusters making its way over there? I

Although I just took delivery of a NIB GBLE, probably not. I'm going to need a few weeks to install mods and prep the game for commercial use. And since a great deal of my time is now consumed with running the arcade, and keeping the street accounts running, the GB LE prep work needs to be put on hold.

For those keeping score: My GBLE has a build date of 8.22.16, and has neither ghosting nor mismatched side rails. I've only played 2 games on it so far.

Put a Ghostbusters LE in the arcade today.

I'm holding off on purchasing any NIB pinball machines for a while. If there are no reported disasters with AS over the next couple of months, I'll certainly buy one to place at NYNY.

As far as Fremont Arcade goes, I will not be adding to the remaining 8 pin lineup. With very limited space in this location, and other arcade equipment that routinely earns 3x-10x the revenue of my highest grossing pin, it would be unwise for me to bring in more pins.

Quoted from Malibu-SS:

I was recently in Vegas(Feb19-27) and we were told at NYNY that they no longer had pinball machines.

Sorry you were mis-informed. As of 3 days ago, they are still there.

#127 7 years ago
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:

If you don'd mind sharing, which are your best earning arcade games? I operate some pins now (hobby operator) and am curious to learn more about operating arcades.

Every account is different, but for straight video games (no tickets, no prizes), the top three are The Walking Dead Arcade (just released, already on 2 month backorder), Jurassic Park Arcade, and The World's Largest Pacman (now with Galaga).

Our pair of basketball games actually each out earn Jurassic Park, but we offer prizes for scoring over xxx points, so I categorize them differently. Prize or no prize, basketball games earn stupid money in relation to their cost ($5,500 new).

But keep in mind that all of the above titles are large deluxe games that won't fit into most street accounts. So do your homework before committing to any of them.

I don't know about now, but here's what was there back in October:

Same line-up today. Getting ready to replace Mustang (donating it to PHoF) but haven't decided on what I'm bringing in next.

Quoted from Eskaybee:

Aerosmith would look sweet next to you right Metallica

I agree, but not just yet. I'm waiting to make sure QC issues have been corrected before investing in another NIB pin.

Quoted from pumpkinlad:

Anyone been recently know what pins are still left at this location? Last I heard it was 6 total?

Metallica Pro
Star Trek Pro
AC/DC Premium
Kiss LE
Walking Dead LE
Game of Thrones LE

Tried to bring Hobbit back in yesterday but there was no room.

#143 6 years ago
Quoted from pumpkinlad:

Thank you for the update and continued contributions to Vegas pinball.
Sad to see GB LE & MMR LE off location, are they going to end up at another location of yours in the valley like NYNY (maybe swap out GB Pro for LE) or possibly go on the market?

Well thanks for the support!

Rotating some pins next week. WWE & TF are coming out of Excalibur Fun Dungeon, going to auction. Fun Dungeon is getting the ST Pro from Fremont, and a HUO PoTC. Fremont is going to lose ST Pro, but gain back Hobbit SE or WOZ ECLE. OR, both, if I can squeeze some space when moving other new arcade games in for summer.

MMR LE may not make it back onto the floor at Fremont until we move/expand. I haven't made a decision on GB LE, as I've just installed the replacement playfield and have only played one game on it. I'm mostly focusing on new video arcade equipment for the summer right now.

#145 6 years ago
Quoted from tfduda:

Going to be at Excalibur in a few weeks for a night. Too bad Hobbit won't be in the dungeon... Hopefully I will make it to Fremont street! What else is in the dungeon?

I can only list my equipment. The pinball change out next thursday as noted above, I also have 2 Mario Kart GP DX drivers going in next week. Batman & Blazing Angels coming out.

Quoted from visi0n:

Stopped by Fremont Arcade last night, it appears the awesome pin lineup has diminished considerably. At least the few games that were left were well maintained

Sorry about that. Unfortunately pinball does not pay the bills in an arcade. The formerly 17 pinball machines we started with will further be reduced to 2 machines in the next few weeks, until we find a larger location.

On a more positive note, GOtG arrives tomorrow and should be placed into NYNY Big Apple Arcade next week.

That's our plan. Just need more space.

Quoted from BallyPinWiz:

I wish I had read this before revisiting the Fremont Arcade. I previously had posted about what a great place it was. I visited Las Vegas this week and saw the Groupon deal for $10 worth of tokens for $5 (with a Groupon coupon code it only cost $4). When I walked in, I couldn't believe all the pins had been replaced with crane machines. Only a GoT/LE and Metallica remained. Both worked well, but the GoT was kind of dirty. I was really disappointed. I played each machine twice and walked out with $6 in tokens in my pocket. I won't be back.

Thank you for your continued support.

Have you considered the possibility that your whopping $4 purchase, of which I receive $2.50, and you receive $10 in tokens, might NOT be enough revenue to sustain 17 pinball machines in a commercial business location???

No, it's pretty obvious that you didn't.

The current arcade equipment that replaced those 15 pinball machines.... well, they literally make no less than 2x-10x more money than pinball machines. In fact that $1,500 electronic massage chair, that I'm sure you didn't bother putting a dollar into, generates 4x what any $7,000 pinball machine makes... with no maintenance, and no dipshit complaining that it's not level every other day.

I don't want to bore you with discussions of business operations, expenses, revenue psf, and profit goals. So I'll cut it short and just say that the lesson to be learned here is you can either REALLY support location pinball, or location pinball will simply go away.

Using Groupon to try to scam $10 worth of pinball play for $4.... well that's why there's only 2 pinball machines left.

I do hope that you enjoy the tokens that you took. That classy move cost me another $3.00 in business losses. But it's ok. I'll make it up by removing another pinball machine.

#159 6 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Typical bunch of losers! I pumped a bunch of coin into NYNY location.
Heading to Vegas for Super Bowl and some folks are staying at Golden Nugget downtown so i will drop some coin into both pins AND i won't use Groupon

Let me know when you're coming into the arcade and we'll take the "company car" up to the shop to play the other 15 pins.

#162 6 years ago
Quoted from Kkuoppamaki:

I'll be in Vegas next week, and look forward to playing all the pins in NYNY. Was planning a trip to Fremont street arcade, but glad I got the heads up through this thread that there's only few pins there. Thank you and keep up the good work extremepinball , great to see machines in location!

Thank you, sir.

However, so that it comes as no surprise when you, or anybody else goes to NYNY, the pinball lineup has been reduced to 8 machines.

Star Trek Prem & Kiss Pro have been removed with no plans for replacements.
