Freeplay, Have you done a run of these yet for WCS, and if not what would you need to get the ball rolling if possible?

Quoted from Freeplay40:

Would appreciate any info on where the original ramps are failing to see what I could do to improve.

You got it!! I'll post pics of the failure areas shortly

#188 7 years ago

Okay, Here are the problem areas. In the top left corner inside the circle, that wall area is thin and takes a pretty good hit from the ball repeatedly so it cracks eventually leading to a large piece falling out and a gaping hole. The bottom left corner of the ramp also takes large hits which results in that entire corner cracking behind the metal guard that goes in front of it which covers the damage that most owners cannot see behind it. Also the entrance at the bottom is to thin resulting in cracking around the screw holes eventually leading to cracks becoming longer over time with use.

Freeplay, How many people would you need to commit for this to be produced and will you need a master? I mentioned it awhile back here but we never talked numbers. I wanted to let people know in the WCS94 thread as I know myself and a few others are in need.

Quoted from Freeplay40:

This is larger than I can do on my current set up. I am in the process of building a larger machine, but just takes time. Pretty sure I will do it once the new machine is running.

Excellent . I have let people know and there is interest so I have redirected them here

Quoted from JonH123:

I'd be in for an earthshaker subway ramp.

You know, speaking of your avatar. I think a transparent blue ramp for Space Shuttle would be super sweet. It would really make the playfield pop since the playfield is pretty dark. I'd be in for one of those also and put led strips underneath of it.

Freeplay, Would you have any use for both ramps from a Whirlwind? What I have I doubt anyone would buy and I didn't want to toss them. But if they can help produce more ramps so that more machines live on I'd like to donate them.

Quoted from Freeplay40:

Looks like you are right...so I probably won't do them. Like to do ones that are not available anywhere else.

Wow!! That was fast. When I was restoring my machine back in Feb-Mar they didn't even have WW ramps listed on their site and the only place that had stock was Marco. Guess I need to check more often with them.

Take a look at what Freeplay40 made this summer. These new Champion Pub ramps look real nice. The color is great.

Really nice color on those!!

FreePlay, has anyone inquired about getting this ramp done for Junkyard?

Quoted from Freeplay40:

I think that's the first I have heard of it. We'll see if any others chime in.

Almost every one of these that I have seen has the two ears broken off at the bottom. Unfortunately I had to pass on buying any of them because of it. That entire assembly was $200 when it was in stock apparently. That's insane.

Quoted from Taxman:

I sold my JY many years ago ($2K) with a broken ramp. When I looked for it back then I could only find it out of stock but $400 price.
Now if you look around you will find it still OOS but $43 at BAA to $150 somewhere else.
Last year I bought another JY and the first thing I check was that ramp.

What is BAA? Marco was the only place that I have seen it listed for sale, but of course its not in stock

Quoted from Freeplay40:

I would probably consider just making the ramp.

Thats perfectly fine by me!!!

Quoted from Mancave:

Hi Mark, would the left ramp for the Monopoly machine be one that is possible to do on current equipment? These aren't available anymore and the best i could track down so far was a damaged one at $145 US

Count me in for a left and right!!! Like you, I need the left the most. I would be willing to surrender both of my ramps to get this done. Just say the word!!!

Quoted from slgerber:

Wow, those look amazing. I would be in for a Space Shuttle ramp if those become a reality. Nice work.

This!!! They would look so awesome in red, blue, or smoked clear in my opinion.
