Quoted from Freeplay40:

Not familiar with POC ramps. First request I have seen for them.

PotC has one huge ramp which has been unavailable for years. I saw one recently for $320, and then it was gone next time I saw it. The machine is probably of the age (2006) where the ramp may be wearing/cracking for a well-played machine and it has 7 attachment points which are always subject to breakage. Matt at BackAlley is considering making the ship hull which is also a wear part and unavailable, but a repro ramp would be welcome by at least a few folks I am sure.

Quoted from TheNecromancer:

That's ok. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm screwed. lol
My own fault really, should have done better research before buying a machine that needed unobtainable parts. I just glanced online and saw them but failed to realize they were NLA. I'm pretty new to this hobby. Learning fast!

There are a number of thread about repairing ramps. I did a TOTAN repair years ago, and it worked pretty well. I focused on the mounting hole areas which were cracked and brittle. I sandwiched those areas and redrilled the holes. The trick was using some donor clear material and some clear solvent to bond it all together. Check for ramp repair Threads here on pinside.

Quoted from hisokajp:

i just bought a Genesis which have Freeplay40 new ramps in there (a must imo) but the ramp flaps a pretty bad. Is the best replacement the ones at Marcos (https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/25056)? Looks like it is the same for left and right ramp?

You should check with Marco to see if the ones they offer are new or used. If new, then that is the simplest choice. But if those are used as well, you might check with Cliffy if he has them already or if he can re-create new flaps using yours as the template. Removing the rivets will be one of the more delicate parts of the swap since drilling or grinding causes heat and could damage the plastic ramp if not done slowly.

Quoted from hisokajp:

really? On mine the flap are installed under the post, no rivets whatsoever?

I see you are correct on this example. Flaps are usually riveted to ramps, but on this game you don’t need to worry about that. Even easier!
