I'm running cyclone comet right now.

I used regular green and it came out a perfect teal. Wonder if there was a brand or temperature difference.
I have the earthshaker subway. It's just is not on the website yet. Order via email to [email protected]. $84 + $10 shipping.
I have seen several youtube videos on how to build a vacuum box to thermoform one ramp. It's not easy but it's doable. If you want to mass produce ramps you need access to about a million dollars in ovens and CNC machines.
I have most of the original Williams molds. Most are made of Aluminum or cast aluminum and are water cooled. Marc can make a mold for far less cost than mailing my monsters up and back.
I have Blackwater 100 tools but it just isn't a viable commercial option unless you want to pay 500-600 for a set.
Almost all of my tools are aluminum or cast aluminum. If I make a tool it is always made of epoxy. Some epoxy works. Some don't. Much depends on how many ramps you can get off a tool. So far the tools I have made have been excellent but I haven't made more than 100 pulls.
The problem with High Speed and Space Shuttle ramps is ABS shinney on both sides is no longer available. Kydex would work but be horribly expensive. I'm still trying to find a custom extruder to do the job.
I can tell you that if you use green, the ramp will be teal. To get green you need to mix 1 part green with 2 parts yellow.
Just an FYI. Nobody makes a fortune in the ramp market, especially true for Mark. I'll bet if he calculated his hourly rate, it's less than $1 per hour.
Actually, I'm still waiting for the ramp. That's all I need to run them. Sometimes people get busy and I'm totally at their mercy.
FYI. I seldom paint ramps but Champion Pub comes to mind. I use a spray can of plastic paint with primer and apply in my backyard on the underside of the ramp. Getting pretty good at it. Comes out fine without a painting booth. No way to do translucent colors.
I'm curious Marc. If I order .177 it is always +-10% and what I get is close to .160. what do you get when you order .177?
Hi Jody. There is a downside to placing smaller ramps around the big ones. Let's say you add an Airraid ramp to an Addams Family tool. You run 50 and when the Addams Family ramps are gone you still have 45 Airraid ramps. Probably a bad example but you get the point.
The reason we watch each others posts, at least I do, is to make sure we are not duplicating efforts. There is enough room for all 3 of us.
There is another reason for the water line. It keeps the tool from overheating. A tool that is too hot will get you bubbles in the PETG.
That's weird, Marc, cause PPS said I can run them. I am so confused. We'll just have to wait and see.
It would be difficult, next to impossible, to use wood for thermoforming. You need an epoxy that does not deform when heated and cooled.
Just so you understand. I run 100 ramps at a time. That would be a lifetime supply for my Grandchildren.. Can I run 30 ramps, of course. After spreading the cost of a tool, thermoforming and CNC cutting, across thirty ramps instead of 100, the ramp would probably cost in excess of $500.
It is impossible to make a repro ramp to fit every game unless you want the same thin, flexible crap that came with your game. Occasional isolated problems do happen but if there is a common problem with a ramp, it needs to be fixed here, not in the field. I encourage everyone to let me know about problems.
