Can we start a go fund me to have someone build the larger heater for you ? I for one would chip in. Want that Space Shuttle ramp

I think it was decided that Starship Fantasy would do the Space Shuttle ramps. You may want to follow this thread:

Freeplay40 is doing a lot to help people get unobtainium ramps .... perhaps read back in the thread ..... hes had lots of personal issues to deal with and he is getting help in building the larger heater!

Quoted from Mancave:

Mark, was there any plans to do the small rear ramp/lane plastic for Black Rose?? I think these have been formed like other ramps but in white plastic? This one is also not available to buy, the only one that is available being the subway trough. Although mine isn't too bad structurally (just a few small cracks and a patch that looks like it's been par melted) it would be great to be able to replace with a new one, possibly in regular clear or black?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Fingers crossed for this piece as well. Mine is currently Frankensteined together.

Great work Freeplay40

I'll consider it after the new heater is built. I've committed to no new ramps while I build the heater....that everyone has been waiting on, for......yes......YEARS!

i would be in on one also.

I put Comet Fire LED's behind mine so it looks like there is a fire inside the ship. a smoke clear i think would be nice for this plastic as lights could still be put under it to accent it.

I think freeplay and Larry have agreed that Larry from starship is going to make them.

#3857 4 years ago

Sure is a Nice clear ramp there. Just have it installed with that decal mod for now I'll go through Comet's site and try doing something with lighting in that corner and remove that cover and see how it goes.

I would be happy to let you use my nos BatMan ramp! There must be a lot of damaged and cracked ones out there.

Did you make it?

The guy that made it sells them on eBay. It looks great and therr are decals for the other side also. I went a long time with just the right side sticker so I can see the balls getting hit by the drivers so we'll see if it says now.

Well, unfortunately, at least for now, that ramp falls into the same situation as the TMNT ramp. The thin section between the lanes requires a super strong mold and the material I use right now won't stand up to the rigors of forming and releasing from the mold. I will be testing a new mold material in the near future and we can revisit it then.

After 5000 miles journey, new Space Station ramp has been arrived. A "bit" better than the old one
Thanks Mark!

Just 11 days from Seattle to Hungary....Not bad!

#3866 4 years ago

Ouch, my comet center ramp just broke. Refurbished the pin and I think it plays a bit too good now, strong flippers, but guess that came at a cost...

Keeping my fingers crossed and hope you get the new machine working soon so I can buy a new one from you!

That blue ramp flap looks awesome! Didn't realize that was an option.

I'm interested in the corkscrew, center and cycle jump for Comet.

As the maker of that ramp, I would offer one thought concerning your installation. The existing holes for the hold down screws at the entrance are most likely not appropriate for my ramp. In the photo, the entrance of your ramp appears to be too far to the left and not centered. This would increase impact exposure to the right side entrance of the ramp. If I'm correct in what I see in your photos, I would recommend that you center the ramp entrance properly and make new pilot holes for the hold down screws.

Just my 2 cents!

I agree - and thanks! We will see what we can do.

Yeah on my station I had to fill and re-drill holes also. mine was off to the left to. Nice looking game by the way!

Awesome. Was the original color green? Makes more sense as blue
.

#3876 4 years ago

I'm sorry if I come off sounding critical, but that blue GI looks so much worse than the standard GI lighting. It's too much blue, looks really harsh, and overwhelms the rest of the artwork on the table. If I could make a suggestion: maybe only use some blue as highlights and keep some of the white in there.

The original is black.

Space Station has 2 GI string: one standard, one colored.

I have a received a couple of requests for DE Hook Rufio ramp decals recently, but I am sold out. If there is demand, I will run some more. Let me know if you're interested.

OK...On another note. For those of you who follow the Freeplay40 soap opera, I have said that I have to deal with some home sales as part of my mother's estate. Good news is that one of the houses was listed on Thursday and was sold today....That was the easy one....little old granny house ( Like 90 years old) with one hell of a view. The other house will consume a lot of my time for at least the next three weeks.

So as far as filling orders, I will certainly be slower, possibly including responses. I will do what I can and will likely be putting folks on lists to be notified when I am free of this work and things become available again....

In anticipation of this I tried to build up some inventory, but the last week pretty much wiped out a lot of it!

#3885 4 years ago

"In anticipation of this I tried to build up some inventory, but the last week pretty much wiped out a lot of it!"
Which shows that parts are still needed and viable for older games that the OEMs could care less about.
Thank you, for helping to keep many vintage games alive.

Please, please, another vote for Batman Forever ramps. I'm performing a complete restore. My ramps are in not the best of shape. Cracked out near the screw holes and many scratches. I understand the difficulty with the mold, but you said you may revisit it.

I assume you are super busy with a real job and then trying to make as many people happy as you can with new ramps. Your work looks beautiful!

Is there anything any of us can do to have you visit this sooner rather than later?

How do I buy ramps from you was looking for the cycle jump for comet and the spin ramp

#3897 4 years ago
Quoted from Chronictalent:

How do I buy ramps from you was looking for the cycle jump for comet and the spin ramp

Well....normally I just accept orders, but I've been sidetracked for what seems like FOREVER working on getting two houses sold (mother's estate). Been running non stop since the middle of January. During this time I have been fitting ramp work in where I can...or really when I'm not beat! I'm doing a couple Cork Screw ramps tonight and one transparent red Cycle Jump. I still have the transparent orange Cork Screw that are formed and dyed, but need to be finished. Sold out at the moment for the Black ABS or transparent red Cycle Jumps. I'll be making more of the red Cycle Jumps this week.

I can put you on the list to notify when available if you want me to. Let me know also if you want a transparent red or black Cycle Jump. (Red outsells black 10 to 1)

Oh hey, that's me!

Seriously though, thank you Mark for the amazing work you've done supplying ramps to the community. Our Comet would have likely been parted out if it wasn't for you.
