Freedom EM 2nd Version Bally, 1976

Pick up a Freedom today. The large wheel feature in the middle of the playfield is not working. I found the mech in the pic mounted under the playfield, it is labeled "wheel unit". I see that the wires on one side of the coil in the picture have been remove. I found two smaller red w/yelllow wires taped up near by. Not sure why it was disconnected. Then I noticed that there are empty mounting brackets (on the bottom of the mech in the pic). My questions are: 1) am I missing pieces of this wheel mech? 2) does anyone have a Freedom that's would send me a pic of this please?

Maybe it's a one way stepper and that's how it's supposed to look. Not sure, kinda new to EM repair.

That is a continuous stepper so there are no extra parts needed. It was designed as a multipurpose stepper that is why it has a place for another coil which you do not need. As far as the two wires taped together they both go to the coil lug that is missing wires. Not sure why they took them off other than to defeat the random wheel for what ever purpose, maybe a short they could not locate? Hook it up and see what happens, just make sure you have a proper fuse value that goes to the wheel unit before testing.
