I don't know how they pulled it off, but Classic Pinball and Crazy Al Pinaholic have somehow managed to get some pinball machines in to Bloomingdale's 3rd avenue flagship store, and apparently on free play?

Score some points with your significant other by going on a "shopping trip" and play Dialed in, SWLE, and No Fear.

    Sweet!

Levi thanks for this tip. I'm gonna head down there tonight to play.

I wonder how long they will be there.

Wonder if I Can I buy the DI after the promo ends?

I actually used to work there many many years ago.

As someone noted on sterns post, they left the blue tape on. Lol.

Very cool to see these put out on free play!

If they put free pinballs in more retail locations, I would probably get out the house more often. haha.

Unfortunately when I got there the DI had just jammed a minute before and ball was stuck.

I was told the maintenance guys would fix it but hope AL gets the word and goes in to fix it correctly.

It was nice to finally see a SWLE, but in a quiet environment I could hear that as the ball slammed around it seemed to have the sound of lighter gauge metal than older games - Maybe just my imagination.

I'll definitely head back there and end up buying some clothes as well....

Interestingly, a guy from Paris was there with his young kid who loved the game. He said in Paris there is only one bar he knew of that had a machine and his kids kept asking to go back. Clearly the next generation of pinners is being groomed so I don't see the hobby dieing out like it did in the past.

Pinball machines and a Gomez fan. I like this guy.

    #12 6 years ago

Al is the man ! But...Lord help these machines! LOL. they are going to get a workout and a half.

I think it's wonderful and an amazing feat at the same time... Bloomingdales?!?!? Who would have even thought that?

Looks like Al will be busy...Kudos to him. He said he had some work for my son.. maybe this is what he was talking about

    #13 6 years ago

I honestly expect even on free play these machines get much less use than if they were on location.

    #14 6 years ago

As of last night there are Some issues with the left flipper on the DI and the balls often get stuck in the kickout--- been happening almost every time I'm there.

I keep buying clothes there as well so it's exactly "free play". Lol

Visiting NYC for the week and went to Bloomingdale’s after seeing this thread. The machines are on the Metro level B, lowest floor. There’s a TOM and Punchy’s.
