Reading the post on what people see being charged for game play gave me an idea for the location ops particularly the barcades.

What If the manufactures offered as an option to award a “Free Drink” when a high score is achieved. This would be in place of the traditional free game award. Ops would have this option to encourage players at thier establishments to win free booze....

Why do you think would this generate more play?

I have a feeling that would be illegal for some reason not basing it anything but it’s just seems like your not the first person to think of that and that if it were legal it would be done already, but I mean hell ya im down for that

In CA the ABC would jerk your liquor license. I'm betting most other states licensing agencies would not be onboard, either.

Agreed-in my county it is illegal for the license holder to offer free alcoholic beverages. You even have to pay for wine tastings and the like. Though I have seen steeply discounted drinks in years past. Tuesdays used to be "Flip for Fosters", you call it and it's $0.25-you lose it's full price. Hey, it's Tuesday....

Growing up one of the local taverns (Bud Nelson’s in Kenosha) had a Chicago Coin Criss Cross Pop Up machine. 700 points for a beer, 1000 points for a pitcher of beer. We played side games where low score bought the next round and any score under 100 bought shots.

About 5 years ago I found and bought the game.

Free alcohol is potentially an issue, but you might recall pinball was illegal when there was a payout. I am not sure how booze works. While a prize is not problem.
