Hello . I'm a newbie but love pinball. Bought a freddy krueger pinball 3 months ago. Works great! Decided to switchh out all the incandescent bulbs to LEDS. Looked great for a minute. Under freddys head there were to flashers but when me and my son put the head back on I guess the 2 flashers were touching. Powered it on and something smelled, quickly we powered off. Now a fuse was burnt and we put a new one in. Powered on after separating the flashers under the head apart. Now all lights up but flashers don't seem so bright and one flasher in the backglass doesn't turn off when I power the machine off until 1 minute or so. It also gets really hot. Please help if anybody has an idea. My boy and I are bummed as we were so close at completing the leds. Thanks for everybody's time.

Make sure you put the correct flasher bulbs in. There are different voltages. Then check all the fuses and take them out when you ohm and make sure they are correct size. Lastly make sure nothing is touching. Also change out any bulbs that are dim they got damaged from the voltage spike or short. I had an led melt once. Take your time and really look it over everywhere.

    read through this: http://www.pinrepair.com/sys3/#driver

Sounds like you have a transistor locked on that now needs replacing. Remove that always lit bulb!

Wow! This is a great place. Thanks for the quick response. I found a blown transistor and o changed it. I can't believe it. Guys very much appreciate the feedback. Really my boy and I are totally happy now that freddy looks way cool with the new leds. All lights are on and none stay on when power off. Many thanks guys.
