The board which drives the display is not functioning on my Frankenstein pin. I have a repair guy working on it but he says the PAL chips are bad. He says he has new ones but they need to be burned with code. He cannot find a source for the code in order to burn it.

Anyone know of where to get this code? Or, even buy NEW already coded PAL chips?
Thanks,
Mike

Quoted from Pintucky:

it but he says the PAL chips are bad.

So what are the PAL chips?

Quoted from v8torino:

It is my understanding they are similar to EPROMS. I was told they are like finding a part for an old Windows 95 . . . . other than that . . . I don't know much about them. I just know it controls the Driver Display Board on my Frankenstein pin.

PAL chips are programmable array logic EPROMS that perform the same function no matter what Sega system 3b game it is. They're most likely used for decoding graphics data stored in the display ROMs.
