umm... the ball launch slot switch seems to be missing.

...also the other slot switch is gone.

edit: 3+4 go to shooter lane switch (wht and gry + grn and red)
3+5 go to outlane switch (wht and gry + grn and blk)

can't see the colors on the other wires...

i wonder why someone would take the switches out???

online schematics are blurry.
i can't tell where the vio wires should be running from/to.

as for the VUK... if it was a transistor (Q40/Q4) you would have the flashers around the VUK (4? of them) not working or always lit. any issues with those flashers? if not. maybe you wired the coil backwards??

well. you have seemed to have hooked it up right.

i would change the diode...cant hurt...and its a cheap part.

check for proper voltage going into coil and proper power at boards (trace back wires...look in manual)
other then that...check over all boards for burn marks...bad fuses. etc.

i hope some else could chime in. i'm running out of ideas. i only have limited exp with troubleshooting.

...and def looks like someone just took the knocker and put it where the auto launch should be. auto launch wires should be (power-yel/vio : control-vio/orn) knocker is (power-brn : control-vio/gry)

wait. you said...

Just purchased a Frankenstein pinball and it has a few problems.
#1
Head of creature does not turn. Is this a board or servo motor problem.
Creatures hands to move slightly.

#2
Several coils are burnt; I am in the process of replacing them and I guess I will have to test the PPB as well (transistors) to see what caused the burn.

#3
There are several sets of wires around the Auto-Launch (ball-Kicker)
Is there any connection to the Up/Down Lever Assembly?

I would just like to know where these wires should be attached.
If anyone would please take a look at the attached photo and give me any tips on where
these should go, I would be most grateful.

thanks
perry

now....it's

Sorry for all the posts about my Frankenstein Machine. The most recent problem is that none of the 50v coils
are firing (auto-launch, laser kick, VUK, Top Scoop). I have checked the coils, diodes, and the transistors on the
board all have positive readings with a mulitimeter.

The VUK overheats, so I had to disconnect that one until I can address the other coils problem. Anybody have any suggestions to why the coils on the 50 V side are not working??? All the others are working fine.

thanks
perry

perry...u need tell everything that is wrong with machine.

this changes everything with troubleshooting.

LIST EVERYTHING THAT DOES NOT WORK ON YOUR MACHINE.

i would not use a TIP120 in place of TIP122.

ratings.
TIP 102 -100V 8 amp
TIP 122 -100V 5 amp
TIP 120 - 60V 5 amp

edit- perry...check for cracked fuse clips at F8
