Wow. I mean it looks nice.
Can I just buy the litho for $50?
I've dealt in Art for 25 years. In fact, a bunch of art has funded several of my pinball machines.
I still dont get the value of High end auction art sometimes.
Always odd to trade flat 2d object for mechanical 300 lb. game.
I still have several rare pieces worth more than rare pinball's.
But, it takes a buyer collector.

I'm in! It was either this painting or I go out and buy 1 of every pinball ever made.

Is this artist known for being ironic or funny? Names a painting "four pinball machines"... clearly shows five.

I’d rather own a Charles Bell.

It kind of points to everything that is wrong with our society when there are people who can drop $20M on a painting while others can't even afford to feed their families.

    #7 4 months ago

And I thought pinball collectors overpay for pinball.
    That's nutz!

That's a bunch of bullshit for that stupid painting, ridiculous. Personally, I am saving up for this Twombly which is way better art.

At least these art pieces last longer than the infamous banana art.

    3 and 2 halves = 4

No depiction of the shooter lane. I'm out.

Art is a luxury. Pinball machines are a necessity.

LOL A JJP LE is a run of 5000 the painting is a one of a kind

Jpop must be facepalming about now. Why mock up an entire machine when art is worth more by itself?

Why did I click on this.

I just took a screenshot of it. I will edit it, save to file & bring it to Staples for them to print a nice high resolution version of it. I'll get it framed and hang it in my game room.

    I just saved myself millions.

So did this auction ever take place? Couldn't find an update and I'm rather curious.

    #23 3 months ago

    Wow.
I guess I will never understand high end art.

    #24 3 months ago

A lot people clamoring for an orginal themed game and the answer has been right there in front of us for years.... backgammon.

One of those almost looked like a Xenon at first glance.

He's still alive. Price will only go up.

Just think if the legs were depicted as correctly attached, and the backboxes looked like pinball backboxes and not abstract geometric noodling.

I mean, the artist couldn't even count! The buyer got five for the price of four! Either that, or he only got 3 1/2.
