I've got a four game collection with games representing four eras:. El Dorado (EM), Cheetah (early solid state), Indiana Jones (classic Bally/Williams) and Iron Maiden (modern). Does anyone else have a collection like that and if so, what games do you have?

#2 5 years ago

I have stuff from every era and most manufacturers. I think it's fun to have a variety of styles and eras. I only have two EMs currently, and I would love to have more, however.

The oldest game I currently own is Ice Revue and the newest is Total Nuclear Annihilation.

#3 5 years ago

Nope, oldest game I have is BK and it will sell as soon as its done. Took as partial trade. I wanted to narrow my collection's scope as I already have too many. The flip side is since I collect rare machines having similar machines to swap parts between is a must. When the power supply kicks out on my mystery castle I can compare and swap boards with pistol or als. Only exception is my pinball magic since it has a few different boards that are not production.

#4 5 years ago

Four eras? Got to get that flipperless pin in the line up!

#5 5 years ago

Five eras for me.

EMs from the early 50s to late 60s
Early Solid State with Stars and Skateball
Later Alphanumeric with Earthshaker
90s DMD with HS2 and Dirty Harry
Future of pinball with TNA. I mean "welcome to the future"

Used to have at least one flipper game from every decade from the 1940s on, but decided I'm not running a museum here.

I had one from every decade 30s - 2010s till I sold my PotC. Now I'm missing 2000s but none of those games really interest me.

30s: Fleet
40s: Grand Canyon (flipperless) and Rainbow (flippers)
50s: Straight Shooter
60s: Super Score
70s: Old Chicago
80s: Spirit
90s: Demolition Man
10s: Star Wars

#8 5 years ago

To the OP: Consider expanding your EM era. 2" flipper games are a ton of fun.

#9 5 years ago

1953 Wood Rail no score reels. 1961 Metal Rail. 1975 EM. 1986 Solid State. 2014 DMD.

If "project games" count, both my collections fit this category.
First photo is my games at my Dad's game room:
1-1948 "United BabyFace" (woodrail EM)
2- 1974 Gottlieb "Sky Jump" (EM)
2a - 1974 Williams "Skylab" (EM)
3- 1989 Williams "Black Knight 2000" (solid state)
4- 1993 Data East "Lethal Weapon 3" (DMD)

Second and third pix (which is actually a 5 era collection!) are at my home game room:
1- 1943 Genco/P & S Machine "Paratroops" (flipperess, woodrail EM)--this is a project game.
2- 1976 Gottlieb "Target Alpha" (multi-player EM)
3- 1980 Gottlieb "Amazing Spiderman" (solid state)
4- 1993 Gottlieb "Gladiators" (DMD)
4a- 2012 Stern "Avengers" (color DMD)
5- 2016 Stern "Batman 66" (LCD display)

Two games from the 1870's
Four games from 1930's
Nothing from 1940's and 1950's currently but I've owned many in the past
Three games from the 1960's
Fourteen games from 1970's
Nineteen games from 1980's
Twenty Eight games from the 1990's
four games from the 2000's
One game from 2010+

I might be missing one some where's but I'm not counting it again.....LOL.

I haven't had much time on them, but I am definitely open to putting one in the lineup.

Modern Stern (SM), WPC (Congo), System 11 (Fire), and early SS (Gorgar).

We don’t like to talk about the Disco Fever I’m standing up against, so just focus on the other 4.

At one point I has two system 11s, Whirlwind & Earthshaker
Two Bally/Williams, World Cup Soccer & The Getaway

Well I have a Paragon & a TNA so far but my next want is a BSD. EM I would love either a Jack's Open/Lucky Hand or a Centigrade 37. I almost bought a Big Shot once so that too

Similar to my collection....I also have MC, PP and PM. I collected around Monster/Horror theme, as well as some rarities, but lately, I've grown a bit bored with my lineup. I'm seriously thinking about selling the bulk of the collection, and starting over with the games I actually played growing up. Wizard!, Bow&Arrow, Pat Hand, BK, Pinbot, Taxi, et al. Nothing newer than a FH.

Great collection, OP

#29 5 years ago

I decided long ago that I wanted:

At least 3 EMs. Gottlieb,Williams, and a Bally (have 5-ish)
Mostly late 70's and 1980's pins. (have 17)
A few 90's pins. (have 5)
A few 2000+ pins. (have 2)

I've had almost 100 games to sort through over the years. I tend to keep the titles that are hardest to find and are difficult with short ball times.

When I bought my 1st pinball, never imagined it would turn into a collection
Pre Flipper : GTB Bordertown
Woodrail : WMS Gusher and Golden Bells
60s : Too many to name, but I will name : WMS Jungle, BLY Star Jet, GTB Cover Girl & CCoin Festival
70s : Again which too many to list, but a few include CCoin Gin, BLY Old Chicago, GTB Pro Pool & WMS Aztec
Early S/S 79-85 : WMS Time Fantasy, BLY Voltan, GTB Asteroid Annie & Stern StarGazer+ Game Plan Andromeda to name a few
Then thats basically where my collection stops with exception of ICO Night Moves and Caribbean Cruise cocktail pins and
Bally's EATPM and Scared Stiff for Post 1985 eras
I do plan on getting Elvira III when it comes out.

#31 5 years ago

As I only have room for 4 full-size machines I go for the 4 eras as well.
EM / SS / DMD / modern
unfortunately right now I am missing a modern, but one day!
(though I do have a 30s bagatelle as well)

If I had a bigger place and room for 8 I'd shoot for:
flipperless pinball
50s bingo
2" flipper EM
3" flipper EM
80s SS
90s DMD
aughts Stern
Modern LCD

#32 5 years ago

I have:
1 from the 60's (Hot Line)
1 from the 70's (Jet Spin)
1 from the 80's (Night Moves)
2 from the 90's (TOTAN & Baywatch)
1 from the 2010's (Queen - it counts!)

If I had more space, I'd love to get one game each from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 2000's to round it out. Plus room for a 2020's machine in the future.

#33 5 years ago

Four eras and eight manufacturers in a thirteen pin collection. Pretty good for someone who's never been through any diversity training.

EM
Bally Vampire

SS
Stern Dracula
Stern Stars

AN
Gottlieb Genesis
Bally Elvira and the party monsters

DMD
Gottlieb Freddy
Alvin G Mystery castle
Bally Creature from the black lagoon
Williams Bram Stokers Dracula
Sega Frankenstein
Sega X-Files
Data East Tales from the crypt
Stern Walking dead

How does this game fit in with your spooky theme?

#36 5 years ago

200+ of those pins are now under the custodianship of the PPM in Alameda CA,
311 is an overstatement, need to update my list.

#37 5 years ago

I have something similar.

Jet Spin - EM 1977
Flight 2000 - Early SS 1980
Getaway - DMD 1992
The Walking Dead - DMD 2014
Star Wars - LCD 2017
