Got a lead on a pinball. So i called the seller and went over to see it. Not in the best shape but i new she had potential. This may hurt your eyes. Beware.....

More of the story, what did you pay etc.

#3 10 years ago

I bet it will clean up real nice. Congratulations!!!

I think i may sell it once i clean it up. If i decide to keep, i will tell all.

Hmmm...that is the most accurate to scale mini version of TZ I've ever seen--although it may be in poor shape--hard to see...

#6 10 years ago

Love those types of games....what a feeling when bringing it back to life and lookin' pretty....

Maybe with the money you save on buying the TZ you can buy a camera that shoots better thn .2 MP pics?

#8 10 years ago

I would buy it right now.

Now that you say that, my wife is receiving a Nikon 5200 in the mail tomorrow. Better pics in the future.

Nice score, congrats

Thanks Guys. Here are the same pics and some more pics. Hope they are bigger so you can see it better.

Sorry they are sideways. Not sure how to correct this.

#14 10 years ago

Congrats, I love projects like that.

#15 10 years ago

Wow rough shape. Looks like a good project though!

#16 10 years ago

One more pin saved. That was a close one.

Please post your progress for us to see. What a great find.

#17 10 years ago

Yup typical of many reimports that I've seen. That salt water really takes a toll on these games sometimes. Good find anyways and have fun cleaning it up...wish I could find a few like this.

+1 I'm more of the cosmetic/mechanical repairs than electronic repairs,
so this (for the most part) would be right down my alley. Decent title to.

When ya get your new camera, be sure to take/post lots of pics as you go along.

#19 10 years ago

Its going to be a lot of work but that play field looks pretty good.

#20 10 years ago

Congrats! That's treasure right there. I bet it cleans up to be respectable.

#21 10 years ago

Better buy a couple extra boxes of rags. That is going to be some work. Fun winter project though - enjoy!

#22 10 years ago

Remember it's not what you paid but what it's worth when you get it ready to sell. Hell don't be afraid to tell what you paid for it. It makes the story more interesting. I showed some pics of my haul a couple weeks ago and told everyone that I paid 200.00 for 6 pins and a rush the rock driver. I've since sold all but the driver and not one person mentioned that I got them cheap so I should sell as such. They were just glad to get a pin. Ed

#23 10 years ago

Looks like a candidate for new playfields. Not sure that will clean up without some issues. Inserts look rough.

#24 10 years ago

looks like chickens were living in it! bet it cleans up good!

#25 10 years ago

I'd just throw some wax on there and play, should speed the ball up some.

#26 10 years ago

Curious to see what the under playfield looks like
Can you post a pic ?

#27 10 years ago

I'll bite on the price question. I found a similar one for $200.00
Seller named the price, not me. My friend picked it up along with a few others, all $200.00 each.

#28 10 years ago

Looks like you have your work cut out for you, but there isn't that much wear. It should clean up real nice, I would love to find a game like that.

playfield glass? what is this you speak of? I spent the last 10 years roasting marshmallows next to TZ, good times

#31 10 years ago

I can't wait to see the after pics

#32 10 years ago

I was a tad disappointed that this was not Kool-Aid related.

#33 10 years ago

Okay. These first set of pics you see were taken when i picked up the TZ on saturday. I have spent about 5 hours on her this weekend and this is what i have. And, she is alive. I have to replace on insert so far. Will take better pics tomorrow w/ a better camera

How can i post pics not sideways.. arrrrr

#35 10 years ago
Quoted from Skyemont:

they need to be smaller. use a "width" of 1024 pixels or less.

#36 10 years ago

I will resend these pics to my email w/ 1024 pixels. I will then repost them tomorrow. But you guys get an idea of what it looks like now.

Just curious are you taking your pictures with a iPhone or iPad? If so the orientation may be based on the way the picture was taken. You have to hold it horizontal in order for the picture to show up correctly. If you are holding it vertical when you take it then it puts the picture on its side when you upload it. Regardless nice find on the TZ!

What would a close-up picture show?

Yes.. I phone. I have a Nikon 5200 coming in tomorrow. That should help alot..

#40 10 years ago

I'm viewing them on my iPad, they look fine to me. Ed

#41 10 years ago

great score, congratulations. looks like it is cleaning up very nicely

#42 10 years ago

I may be crazy, but I think cleaning up machines like this actually more fun than just playing them. Well done, another Lazarus rises, or that Phoenix?

#43 10 years ago

I've got a full set of side art, a nos playfield clearcoated, mini playfield used and clearcoated and an nos plastic set if you need to make it perfect.

Ditto. I found that iPhone landscape/horizontal pics look just fine on Pinside. The portrait/vertical ones get kicked sideways...

Me too Dendoc. After i fix them and clean them i am ready for the next one. Thank you joemamma, i will keep you posted if i decide to go that far.

The pics may to sideways or too small but you can get the idea of how she looks tonight. 5 days ago she was looking like crap but today, she is alive..
