After trying wire brushes, etc. to speckle paint on the Gottlieb cabinets I found the perfect brush, almost idiotproof with no runs or large drops of paint. I bought an auto parts cleaning brush and cut off 2/3 of the bristles, to use just dip 1" of the bristles in the paint and hold the bristles together about 2" down from the end to make them firm, then use your other hand to fan the bristles gently, works perfectly.
