This is brilliant, especially since it is from my favorite childhood movie.
    Much respect!

I am seriously thinking about buying one of these! What are you guys thoughts on the value of this and whether it would hold its value. My thought is yes as it is an amazing replica and would be impossible to replicate for $7500. Given the popularity of the movie, I would think there are plenty of rich people who could want one down the road if I needed to sell it. I thankfully live in RI so shipping is not a Big issue considering its coming from CT.

I think it's a niche piece but fits well in a game room setting or movie memorabilia setting. It's fun either way and has gameplay unlike other fortune tellers! Last I heard 5 are confirmed and he only wants to do 10 total. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I think theres a good chance itll retain most, if not all of its value. Especially if it's as well built as it appears to be. Obviously this shouldn't be looked at as a financial investment, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was an appreciating asset.
Either way, I'd love to have one. I'm an all around coin op collector and this would be an awesome addition to my collection.

I am on the fence about it as well. If it was available now I would buy it. I am concerned about the whole pre-order model. When I emailed him he said he may make more in the future just depending on his time and demand. I am not concerned about the financial impact in the future, more making sure it gets made and I gets what I paid for. That is nothing against Nick, just the past has not been kind to this model and I don’t know if I am willing to take the risk.

Yup, is it a WOz or a Magic Girl? There is risk in the process and I'm there with you. Working with an artist with multiple projects can pose delays, hopefully he gets them all done and knocks them out of the park.

I agree. I think the pre ordering aspect is a bigger concern than resale value.
Just receiving your game from a small operation is always the hard part

Totally agree with you. I thought he might have a model I could see in person as he is in CT, but the only one out there is the one FAO owns and has on tour. The detail on this piece is amazing, but I do see a few issues, like the Zoltar detail......looks like Zoltar is a cat with those eyes. Also the detail with the clothing and necklace seems to be a little off. That being said, $7500 is still a good price for a piece like this. Nick seems like an amazing guy so I am not worried about him screwing buyers.

Yea I brought that up with him too. He based everything off photos of the original and molds it in software...too technical for me but I also want mine as original as he can get including the fancy earpiece lol.

This looks amazing! I see where this post is coming from though. The pupils are a little too elongated in the remake...more round in the movie. HOWEVER I AM NOT COMPLAINING! This is soooooo tempting as I was just thinking about buying one of these. Why is my Canadian Dollar so shit right now? Incredible work man!

I think I found my next challenge to build.

He's met his quota of 5 at least but will accept up till 10 until the end of the week and then he starts the work.
