Yea. Had to put something

Instead of a marketplace listing, I would suggest you post in market buying/selling advice first.

Quoted from Skypilot:

You had me a $9

I'm going to be one of those a-holes and offer $10.

There isn't anything on your wish list. What are you looking for in trade?

Quoted from ChadNC:

trying to determine a good and fair trade value

Core game > $1500
CPR pf > $1000
plastics, chrome, nice bg > another 1000-1300
New cab stencil> another $800
New displays > another 3-400

I am easily at 4500 just to get the parts where you have this beauty.

I would value at least another 1500 for all that work.

I would say 6k minimum if you are selling, but this is a super hot title right now and your are dealing in the high end collector market.

If I was selling one this nice I would start at 7kobo (because I dont really ever want to sell a game that got this much work put into it). If you want to wait for the right buyer, then likely a little more. You will of course need way more high quality photos and details to market it well. This also assumes all the stuff under the hood was done.

"Ask and you shall receive"
so the age old saying goes.
Ask 6-7k and watch your pin grow old.

You can only squeeze so much out of these Classic ss games.
It would be the rare buyer at 6-7k.
That's Fathom land.
5-5200-5500 is more in line for a
restored Flash Gordon and that is still asking alot.
You could always start there and include obo and let the potential buyers dictate where it ends.
No offense whysnow, just another opinion.
Beautiful game btw.
No question about that.

Keeping, what appears to be
the original instruction card
in place, is a nice touch.

Not sure. I’m open and to be honest not sure. I’m thinking about buying a new Super Chexx and a Bonzini. Maybe Fathom or BDK, SM. I’m kinda all over right now.

#11 5 years ago

I'd get some more PF pics for sure...eXpecially inserts. The chip/missing paint or whatever it is on the 2X arrow insert has me wondering. it's the kind of thing people are gonna be suspect of a 9.9 rating
Looks killer though.

#12 5 years ago

It's a very good looking machine and I can see the passion that went into but I don't see anyone paying over $4500 for it. There will be alot of chatter of what it's worth but then it's the question of what it actually sells for. Sometimes we put too much of our money into things and never get all of it back. Don't want you thinking I'm trying to step on toes or put your machine down, it is no doubt pretty but it's gonna need someone with money not already wrapped up in the new machines that have come out.

Interested, however anything over 5k probably wouldn’t happen. Then I start saying hmm what else could I get for 5k?

Looks sweet though chad! Not something you see every day that’s for sure

Not a chip or anything. Just a reflection off of the lights. I’ve been on Pinside along while and have never mislead anyone. I know sometimes people miss stuff and appreciate your thoughts. I’ll add another pic when I get home and have time.

too true. Gotta be careful what you invest if you intend to sell and not be upside down.
You would need to tap into High_End_Pins or Bryan_Kelly client list to get this sold north of 4k.
People will always compare what else they can get for the same money.

Best of luck with the sale, hope you get what it's worth to you! and post sale results on pinside for records.

#16 5 years ago

I bet you could easily trade it for a nearly new Stern Pro title if that was your thing. 4500-5000

Ok your talking about this. Looks to less than a millimeter. So I guess that would be where I’ve taken off the .09
Looks to be a flaw from CPR under the clear pat. I guess they should have labeled it a silver one.

Guys I’m sorry I didn’t see that. If you don’t wanna trade it is totally cool.
C’mon man

I still see 4000 to 4500. If I had the money I'd offer it but I'm getting into another machine shortly. Still say it's beautiful. GLWTS

Stunning game. I'd want 5-5.5k in trade value if it was mine. Good luck and I hope you find someone to trade with.

#22 5 years ago

this makes me really miss my old FG. But it helped by my car sooooo. Still.

Thanks

Dont worry OP, your potential buyer is unlikely to be on pinside and even more unlikely to be publicly commenting on pinside.

Restored, rare, high end games are often bought and sold for a premium outside of places like pinside. Pinside is great for the exposure and to get the word out, but if you are genuinely interested in looking for a sale, then blast it out on all the online groups, mr pinball classifieds, and even ebay for a crazy BIN obo listing (people will know to look for it elsewhere).

Of course, you are going to need a photo hosting service to dump a hundred high res shots on for people to see all the gory details.

I personally vote to keep the game as you have too much effort into it to send it packing.

#24 5 years ago

I’ve gotten some great offers and I’ve responded to around 40 pms. Everyone that has sent an offer or question has been responded too. I’m really close to a trade deal on a couple.
Thanks for the kind words by those that have given them.

I brought a Frontier a while back for $5700 which some here would say is extremely high priced but it had a lot done to it including everything chromed out. It was sold through pinside so if you wanna see the original ad it’s still there. I wasn’t looking to pay that much but I was looking for a nice Frontier and had a more valuable machine I traded plus cash to me but I did honor what seller asking for as far as value. If I had done the restore I would’ve done all but the chrome & custom apron but I don’t regret it and I’m sure IF I ever sell I would have a hard time finding another me to buy it. Point is they’re out there and these older games are going up in value so GLWS to the seller with all that work done you’ll get someone who appreciates it and all the work & money put into it.
