Looking to trade my rare Williams Defender pinball machine. Only 369 made. I'm guessing that this machine is number 72 of the 369 made based on the marking in the cabinet. It's in very good condition. When I got the machine, it was not functional at all. Three of the four boards (not the sound board) were just recently refurbished by "lockwhenlit" and now the game is operational. I have pictures showing the tags still attached to the boards indicating the work done. The GI connector was also replaced as it was a bit crispy.
The machine has brand new legs, new rubber, new plastic posts, 3 rebuilt flippers (except for coils), new flipper bats, new ball gates/flaps at the top of the playfield, and LED's throughout the playfield. Back box has LED's except for the original 455 blinkers. Drop targets and stand up targets have new repro decals installed.
The machine is operating as it should except for two issues that are obvious to me. The first issue is one of the pop bumpers does not work. I am not sure if it's the coil or the switch/diodes. When I have tried to manually activate the pop bumper it blew a fuse on the driver board and locked up the machine. I replaced the fuse and the machine plays but the pop bumper doesn't work.
The second issue I noticed is that the red flashers under the circle between the slings are constantly on. They should only flash at certain times during game play.
Note that the game has a ton of coils in it due to the number of individually controlled drop targets (I think there are 15 drop targets). They all seem to function but show their age.
Anyway, I'm looking to trade the machine as it sits. I'm open to offers for machines from say 1990 to today and not just machines on my wishlist. Let me know what you have to offer. I'm really not interested in shipping the machine.
