Item description
Looking for a new home for our recently serviced Jurassic Park pinball
machine. Open to trades. This is always a favorite when people come over. Great lights, sounds, music, shaker motor and fast play. Great 3 and 6-ball multiball, 3
flippers, and a T-Rex that eats pinballs. I did some work over the last
couple months to get everything on this machine working like new. Comes with
original topper, a NIB coin door, keys and misc parts.
I've installed new ROMs with the v6.0 unofficial code from Pinside member
ChadH, which makes the game way more fun. It randomizes the starting mode,
balances scoring, adds some much needed ball saver in some instances, fixes
bugs etc. It really is a must have for this machine. You can see all the
changes here: http://www.pinballcode.com/jp6
Non-ghosting LED bulbs were installed about 2 months ago in all playfield
inserts, scoop and gate lights, and behind the translite. All general
illumination bulbs were kept incandescent for nice warm lighting.
I rebuilt the pop bumpers last month adding new plastic covers with
the dino skeleton logo on it. I used Williams spoons so the pop bumpers have
a bit more action than typical Data East pop bumpers. I did some work on the
T-Rex 2 months ago to get him eating the ball 100% of the time. The control
room scoop diode isn't mounted directly on the prongs of the switch, which
makes the control room scoop more reliable. That scoop takes a beating, and
having the diode soldered directly to the prongs results in broken diodes
eventually.
The playfield is in good player's condition, showing some signs of wear around
the scoops etc. The playfield gets deadly fast when you clean it and put a
bit of wax on it. Flippers are strong, and rubber has plenty of life in it.
If you hit it just right, you can backhand the ramp with the right flipper.
The translite shows some discoloring, a new one is about $75, but I barely
notice it so I left it.
The VUK coming from the T-Rex has to try more than once sometimes to get the
ball up onto a wireform, but it gets it up there 100% of the time.
I bought a World Poker Tour recently and we just don't have enough room for
this machine anymore.
I'm open to trades or cash. If we're trading machines, I'll deliver this and
pickup yours. If you're buying it, I may be able to deliver depending on how
far you are.
