For sale: World Cup Soccer

Added: February 4th, 2020 Ended: February 9th, 2020
Condition: Used - shows wear, needs some work

Item description

This was my first game, and I loved playing it for the first 5 years, but honestly I hadn’t even turned it on in the past 9 months unless others were coming over before today to take pictures. It just became too easy to beat, the shots too dialed in.

As my first game it show all the wear that I vastly over paid for, but is a good players game that needs some TLC that I am not interested in providing for a game I no longer play.

- The right ramp is cracked at the inlane.
- Very first thing I did was tape up the connection to the knocker so as not to piss off the neighbors (doh), although the second thing I did was add a headphone connection
- The goal only registers balls that go in the left half
- Looks like a beaver got a hold of the head
- You could get 2 Sing Alongs, or a straight up Hotdoggin both in better condition for this price

Sold in 3,2...

#3 8 months ago

Good god, if you were 2 hours closer I'd buy it right now

#4 8 months ago

Should be sold by the time i get back from walking the dog

#5 8 months ago

That was part of the point . I’ve got someone coming by tomorrow to check it out, and plenty of interested folks if that falls through.

Thanks for the interest CA folks, but While I appreciate your coast, and style, I’m not interested in shipping.

#6 8 months ago

Steal at 2k. Was my first pin too. Very little saucer wear. If you want your first pin offer full price and fast pickup. I learned so much on this pin and my kids loved it too.

#7 8 months ago

Dang... too bad you're 7 hours away. If this was posted on Friday I would have picked it up Saturday.

#9 8 months ago

Damn beavers, lol

#10 8 months ago

Can I come get it tonight? ETA would be 330am.

If I didn’t have someone coming by tomorrow to check it out, and go to work at 6:30 am, I’d think really hard about it before saying no.

#12 8 months ago

Understood. If you change your mind in the next 2 hours let me know.

#13 8 months ago

(googles “Distance from Sturbridge MA to Richmond VA”)

Let me know if everyone else on Pinside falls through, and I’ll plan a major road trip.

#14 8 months ago

Probably the most fun you can have in this hobby for 2k.

Will do.... it’s about 12 hours. I’ve made that trip a few times to visit family up there.

#16 8 months ago

Wow, that looks at least average, or better, for a WCS. And the issues you listed are all easily fixable. This is a steal of a deal!

Yep, I would take one for $2k. Miss the days when they was less than $2k

#18 8 months ago

This is priced to move - and fast! OP, I think you’re leaving quite a bit of cash on the table!

I could probably get a few hundred more dollars, but frankly it’ll sell quick with minimal hassle from me, and free up space for whatever is next for the game room.

I think he is about right on it, maybe off $200 but wants quick sell. It seems like a amazing deal because everyone prices $1000+ over pinside average

#21 8 months ago

I could be missing something, but this is a good looking machine for 2k. Hope you have a quick sale.

WCS average is $2800, not $2200. And this one might be a little above average.

While I am probably doing myself a disservice here if the first few people fall through, having played quite a few of them over the past 20 odd years, mine is not above average.

It’s a decent players pin that someone will get some enjoyment out of with a little work, that I was no longer getting.

It’s also priced to move with minimal hassle.

if this is still available, ill take it. Im in Chesapeake

I’ve got someone coming to look at it tonight, and if that falls through a couple people behind them, but I’ll add you to the list and let you know.

If I didn't already own one I would be wiring money now.

Wasn't all that long ago either. < 5 years

Thanks

NOT above average and OP confirmed that

I will say the playfield looks really nice. Look at the kickout by the scoop and the integrity of the saucers.

First guy didn’t show, so moving on to #2 on the list, and will continue though until it is gone.

#31 8 months ago

Wow this is crazy people not even showing up? That’s just rude!

#32 8 months ago

Especially at this price. I’m surprised this didn’t go within minutes

#33 8 months ago

You are selling it to me and you are shipping to CA. Please don't keep me from owning this.

That’s a shame and disappointing. Really wished we could have made this work for 3am today.

Not my circus, not my monkeys. One of these folks will take home the prize.

Totally appreciate the offer, but who meets a stranger in a darkened alleyway with cash at 3am.

The same guy that sticks a powerball in his solid state games.

On a side note, I know him pretty well and guarantee if he said he was going to show up with a fist full of cash and take the game he would have. He’s a standup guy if I’ve ever met one.

Who in their right mind is no showing on a 2k wcs? Wow

You could have left it outside and I would have left the cash in the door for you. Hassle free. GLWS!

You must live in a better part of town than me

#42 8 months ago

Did you get it gone? You are three hours from me. I will come get it tomorrow or Thursday after work if you need a buyer. Let me know. Put some pressure on your tire kickers at least.

Not yet, 2nd person on the list is coming by tomorrow.

Left the pinball machine outside?? For a total stranger to "pick up and leave the money outside"? What the hell are you talking about.

And you're bitter about missing out on the game because the seller didn't want to stay up (wake up?) until 3am to sell a pinball machine when there are plenty of people willing to come at a much more convenient time.

You missed out on this. Get over it, dude.

All good man. You have a good price on a fun, fully playing machine.

Bitter? Not at all. I was simply trying to setup a no hassle deal for the seller. Walk in, drop off cash, leave with the game. No questions asked. The 3am was unfortunately the only time I could get there living 4+ hours away knowing the game would sell fast. I’m not a tire kicker. Nor a haggler. Now, if the game doesn’t sell by Sunday, that’s the best day I could make a trip and would still be interested.

I once picked up a game from a pinsider he left wrapped on his porch for me to grab while he was away. It happens, it works.

I have done it twice once off a front porch while no one was home etransfer the money and once out of a barn/shop left cash on bench.

There are about 1,000 people that would vouch for djreddog.

#50 8 months ago

One of the only games that I still regret selling. Upside is I know exactly where the game is and can still play it. Someone's obviously getting a stellar deal here!!
