Does this have the 2.0 boards installed?

I am pretty sure all the RR had the 2.0 boards

#4 2 years ago

I have an ECLE but damn! I love the RR!

Quoted from woody76:

Not all RR have 2.0 boards in them. Only the later versions did.

Yea, I had a RR and it is a beauty for sure

#7 2 years ago

This does not have 2.0 boards

#8 2 years ago

This is still a great game. I know of plenty of people who do not have issues with earlier boards. Hard to get a better world under glass experience then a Woz. This will sell fast. Good luck with the sale.

#9 2 years ago

Can U buy the 2.0 boards?

#10 2 years ago
Quoted from sepins:

Can U buy the 2.0 boards?

Unfortunately they are not available and they are very difficult to swap out. You can call JJP and get an eta on when they might have the upgrade kit available again and perhaps have someone do the install. It's not impossible. Just not very simple.

#11 2 years ago

Some games were more prone to problems then others. There has to be thousands of Woz games out there running fine without the new 2.0 system installed. If this guys game works good then there should be no reason to expect the new owner would have a problem.

There arent thousands out there that are pre 2.0. For example, my standard was 972 out of 1000 and was factory built with 2.0 boards. If I had to guess about 1500 or less pre 2.0 games were made.

I agree though, that if the game has held up fine till now, the new owner should be confident as well with the lighting system since this has the intermediate design boards

#13 2 years ago

Had no idea install was that hard.

There were a few versions pre RR. who knows the real number. You know the point I was trying to make. The new buyer should have no problem buying it as is.

I have the 7.5 boards that have never given me a problem. I was also lucky enough to get a set of the new 2.0 boards that came with the purchase. No they are not for sale and have been out of stock for a while unfortunately.

if he has never had problems then this game is good to go

#20 2 years ago

Hate having these kinds of conversations in a for sale thread. Not fair to the seller. I do not want to scare anyone away from this purchase. I know many people personally that have earlier generation boards and they are very happy. Also if a board goes bad they are very cheap to fix. also very easy to swap out. This is a great game and will be a perfect addition to anyone's game room. GLWTS!

#21 2 years ago

We have a RR woz in the fam. Not sure of board set, but we love it and it works great. #400

Great seller! - This is a beautiful example and you can deal with confidence with Keith - I have seen and played this game and it is amazing! Good luck with the sale. Chris

What is a butch peel manual

#24 2 years ago

2.0 board are being made, they are just currently out of stock. The upgrade to 2.0 is not difficult. It is just time consuming. 8-12 hours of work is pretty common for the first swap. The key is to take your time.

They haven't assigned numbers in a consecutive order. My RR is 1491 and came with 1.1 boards.
I did the 2.0 swap and couldn't be happier with it.

I have a Woz RR, it’s the centerpiece of my collection.

I’ve added more pictures to the marketplace ad. The game has played flawlessly for me from day one. I know there’s discussion about replacing the boards if something goes bad but I have not had any issues so I’ve had no reason to do so. I had no intention of letting this go but I have my sights set on something else. Needless to say I might be letting a few other pieces in my collection go in the coming weeks.

theres always the one person who wants to look smart. had a ruby red for 4 years and Never had an issue with the lights. i had the 2.0 boards and never installed because it wasnt necessary

#30 2 years ago

I own a RR and love the game! Mine has 7.5v boards. Had one small board go out and ordered a replacement. Easy install. Took about 5 min.

Machine works flawlessly. I actually like the 7.5v boards better because they are brighter. My buddy installed the 2.0 boards and didn’t like them because they were dimmer than the 7.5v boards.

To each their own. Message to any buyers…… don’t wait! Jump on this. These don’t pop up very often and one of the best, deepest games out there. You will not be disappointed.

THIS! Everyone talks like 2.0 is the end-all-be-all but they are too dim! I have the 7.5v and they look great and after four years I've wasted a mere ten minutes replacing two boards. So I'm gonna pay around $1000 and spend 10-15 hours of my time to have a lighting system that is measurably less attractive but saves me 10 minutes every four years???

I'll probably try to score a kit just to have it for the next buyer cause I'm sure some will be convinced they absolutely need it. But you absolutely don't and if you see them side-by-side you'll realize it's kinda not great.

Also, GLWS!

I agree, I was disappointed with how dim the 2.0 lightkit was. Problem is I didn't get lucky with mine, I got at least 1 GI a week that died, and 2 big boards that died in around 6 months. Between the cost and the time to fix, I went with the 2.0 board. It works perfectly but the dim does annoy me.

Ew, why? This is by far the worst corvette ever. No stick shift AND mid engine? So no drifting/fat ass? The whole feel and drive of the vette is lost. This is a fake Lambo, dont kid yourself.

In terms of actual driving, you’re nuts.
I ordered my Rapid Blue Z51 at list from Kerbeck when they were still Kerbeck. It drives better than any of my other Corvettes including my ‘19 ZR1, which feels a decade older in comparison. I will concede that the loss of the manual is a bummer, but overall the car is pretty special. I’m looking forward to the Z06.

Derailed, or kept it at the top? There is something to be said about for sale threads that go off the rails.

You guys can have your wanna be lambo. I will wait for the electric one. THEN yall will be having a fit.
