Quoted from BMore-Pinball:

When your done with it next week, I'll buy it from you.

At 2k higher, but give it a month at least

#52 8 years ago

Will it sell to the first pm or the guy down the list that offers $7k?

Another code update just out. Great pin!

I find it funny how people think this pin will drop through the floor once TH comes out.

If it does, then you better take a good look at the rest of the pins in your collection because they are all going down if that's the case.

Really a stupid argument. If I wanted TH it wouldn't be Woz I would sell. Ac/dc, Lotr and SM are going first

Attacking a veteran pinsider who's been on the forums for 4x the time you've been here.

What the hell does this have to do with anything? Do you know this guy? In all of the time he has been in Pinside have you had conversations with him or do you think the longer you are registered to a forum the more honest you are? Please tell me that's not the case here.

Quoted from shlockdoc:

The game cost 6500 new, pins depreciate, 5900 is not a steal. I am feeling so bloated from all the WOZ pumpers.

HA! HA! Yeah, good luck finding that 6500 new WOZ. Let me know how that turns out for you. Maybe you're just mad that they are selling so high.

The game WAS 6500 new early on...

#57 8 years ago
Quoted from brucipher:

And since has been raised to 9k for the same game with a few caveats.

The early ones have the potential for the playfield art to separate in large sections. Yeah they have the direct to print cabinet and which le version tickles your fancy more is up to you, but its riskier than a new one. OP listed at a good price and best of luck to him with it.

To the other's wanting 7-8k, well good luck to you too I guess :/

Quoted from TxJay:

Really? Well I'll explain it to you. How long a pinsider has been a member has everything to do with the validity of a "for sale" thread. It is highly unlikely someone would create a fictitious account 4 years in advance with the intention of swindling another member out of money. Especially since shipping or money transfers are not what he is looking for. CASH IN PERSON is pretty difficult to rip someone off for. The one who made the comment about this sale, on the contrary, was telling people to stay away from this deal with his very first post.
Often times we see new accounts with fictitious pins for sale but I've personally never seen a 4 year preconceived fake account.
If someone has questions about the authenticity of the item a simple "I would be careful" or "sounds too good to be true" would be received much better then what was said. So yeah, I stuck up for the op on this.

I never said new. Why would I be mad? That's silly.

I just sold my WOZ ECLE the other day. Listed here on Pinside and Craigslist for $7650 and within 24 hours I had about 5-6 potential serious buyers, 2 of them local. I sold it the next day. At $5900 I would assume the problems he mentioned in his listing could be a factor, and the lack of pictures is a bit suspect to me. Either way, he's leaving money on the table at that price and I can assure you, this doesnt not change the value of a WOZ ECLE one bit, because someone is hard up for cash and is willing to sell under value.

If someone sells a car that has a blue book value of $40K for $35K just because they need the cash right away, doesnt mean that all of a sudden that model of car is worth $35K because one guy sold himself short and needed quick money.

#61 8 years ago

Hell its taken me 2 years just to swindle someone on a JP.
Baby steps.

#62 8 years ago

Another thing is OP who is selling this machine probably didn't realize that $5900 is too low. He probably has been swarmed with PM's and is now realizing he is selling himself short and re-thinking the listing price. I would assume thats why many people here are saying he's not replying to them..

#63 8 years ago

If I was within 10 hours of this is be on my way now. If the dude was blowing smoke up my ass when I got there, big deal. You're still in Tahoe. I'd stay for a week and shred KT22 and granite chief at squaw.

Me too if I was looking for a Woz. And probably blow several grand in the casino

This is it for me tonight, and a very early ski day tomorrow. It will be a while till I can get back to those that have an interest in this game.
Thank you all for your well wishes.

And hit up a concert or two...

#67 8 years ago

Jvspin:

Once this fella gets back from his ski day and sees the response and how he's selling way under value, he will end up going for the highest bidder. I think he threw $5900 out there just to stir things up, with someone probably paying market value when everything is all said and done. I am willing to bet his PM's are filled with above asking price offers.

Just got in form an awesome day in the back country and Ice was right almost 100 posts.

Thanks Chris for such a nice post and all the rest of you guys who had nice things to say.

I sold my original owner HUO, Pirates of the Caribbean a few years ago for around $2,000 (way below market) to a fellow Pinsider. It is not always about the money. He went on to become a friend and we met at Expo a couple of times. He even offered for us to stay in his rental homes - maybe one day. He ordered two WOZECLE's one of them the very last numbers of the run. (some of you will know of whom I speak) I won't use his name since I have not spoken with him but he is a very well respected Pinsider and has been for many years.

I have not looked at my PM's yet. I will get to them after a late lunch. And to show you what a crook I am (according to some) I will include a free lift ticket to either Northstar, Kirkwood, Canyons, Vail or Heavenly. If you come for the game and have time we can do a few turns together. Also only five steps down to get the game to the street.

I hope to find someone who really wants a WOZECLE for there own personal use and may not have been able to afford the ones that are on the market currently, of course I have no control of what happens to game after it leaves our home.

Ice I have a box of tickets to Squaw let me know when you are up and we can do a few turns together.

I don't know! This guy sounds like a crook to me!!

…and I agree with you…I hope you sell it to someone who REALLY wants it and can't afford $8k. Good for you!

Congrats my man. Hopefully it goes to somebody that will enjoy it and pay it forward as well!

You can revel in all the D bags that want to suck it up and pinch it off for a whole lot more.

Yeah, great impression to the forums with your 1st post. Attacking a veteran pinsider who's been on the forums for 4x the time you've been here. I'm calling B.S. Maybe you're just trying to keep the others away while you try and nab the deal. News flash, sometimes people aren't greedy and try and milk every penney out of a sale. Maybe he just wants it gone. He said no shipping which leads me to believe it's a legit listing.......

So you would list a $6000 game, which you know is easily a great deal, with no pictures and say, im going skiing, i'll get back to you whenever?

Good luck with that. Thats a craigslist ad, not a Pinside ad.

Is this game still available? Looks like you might be leaving some money on the table.. If available please PM me. Thank you. I will PM you also...

OP? Is the game for sale ? Ready to make this happen!

The OP is a gentleman and a scholar. I want to buy another WOZ from him just because he sounds like a cool ass dude.

I'll second that. Hey op, if you are ever in my neck of the woods stop by for some pinball and ice cold beverages on me! I have a fridge stocked to the max and if you let me know what you drink before you come over I'll make sure I stock it.
Chris

#76 8 years ago

I second what Chris said. Ever come to Napa I will have a kick ass bottle of wine for you and some great pinball. Its nice to know there are others out there who arent always looking to squeeze a fellow pinhead.

OP you are a class act sir.

Thank You all for the well wishes on this sale. The game is sold (pending pickup this weekend) to a really great guy who is over the top excited about having a late model WOZECLE. Small world, turns out we have a few Pinside friends in common. Thank you all who offered more than the asking price, the game was sold for the original asking price.

Thank you for the very generous offers of pinball, wine and beer one day, I hope to send out a PM and take you guys up on those offers.

I had the opportunity recently to stiff a pre-arranged trade partner for a little more cash. I decided that my word and honor is worth more than cash.

Cheers to you, Pindome! Karma will find its way back around! If you find yourself near Louisville you are welcome to swing by for some Pinball and or libations!

#82 8 years ago

Just one class act Pindome. Your the type that makes pinside a great place! Cheers to you

#83 8 years ago

Wow! Just WOW! Class act Op!

#85 8 years ago

Congrats Craig! Great pinsider.

#86 8 years ago

This is only the second WOZLE I've seen sell for under $6K on pinside. Can anyone think of any others?

#87 8 years ago

BTW, congrats to both the buyer and seller! Well done!!

#88 8 years ago

Something still does not seem right with this whole scenario.

#89 8 years ago
Quoted from jgentry:

So the moral of the story is that if you price a game to sell on pinside people will pitch a fit, if you price it normal people will pitch a fit, if you price it high people will pitch a fit.

Yes tell me about it. I sold a acdc for 3,600.00 and people wined. It had a little over 100 plays on it. People still talk about that. All of the other Acdc owners were pissed, that's all it was.

#90 8 years ago
Quoted from stretch2:

This. And what a sad commentary it is on our world. Business used to be conducted on a handshake. A man's word meant something.

Sure there were crooks and ne'erdowells, but that was the exception, not the rule. However, nowadays, you can't help but start off from a place of 'OK, what's this guys angle' and start assuming all sorts of nefarious reasons from stealing deposits to robbing people at gun point.

Quoted from teekee:

Wow, what a steal! Not even I thought we would see an HUO LE for under 6 grand but here we are... like I said multiple times anyone paying much over $7000 for an LE or much over $6500 for a Standard is overpaying... and those that have actually bought new in box recently at the $8500-$9000 price...
GLWTS OP, you won't need it!

If you feel like this is the going rate you have issues. Simply one of those fluke sales that happens every once in a while if it turns out to be the real deal

Quoted from happilymarried05:

#93 8 years ago

The bottom line is, someone sold it for a good price. The buyer got a good deal. For the ones who are bitching it's to good to be true, get over it. Congrats to both parties.

Yea i would be curious to see photos still even though it's "sold". Sucks but in this world today its hard to believe anything but hopefully it is real and someone got a great deal. If people think that this 1 thread will dictate the price of woz they are nuts though lol. Unless the machine was received by the op as a contest winner, or at a very discounted price etc OR the op is loaded with $$$$$ and just doesn't care. Let's see photos of the done deal It's like going to the auction, you never know if you are bidding against the seller or not, something sells cheap people think they should get it at that price all the time, something sells for high dollar people think that is the new price lol. Everyone knows what the machines are worth or maybe just someone trying to set a "new low selling price" either way interesting thread

Sounds like as a WoZ owner you're upset its not as valuable as you were hoping. Sorry, but all pins eventually come down. You can still get $7000 for an LE and more depending on mods but it is what it is... not 10k by Christmas, sorry.

Is Pinside great or what?

I picked up my HUO one owner ECLE for $6400 Canadian. Don't convert it today though ... I think exchange was around .84 cents then.

Wow..just wow! Lucky this wasn't in the northeast or you would of seen just how fast a 300lb man can run! Congrats to those involved

That would be 5,376, closer to me being a buyer. You can't compare these new pins that are readily available to B/W 90's prices. Those are finite, there are 1000's of these and all about to be sold in cycle like most. Everyone got them at the general same time and some look to rotate. Even the developers are ready to flip. See pinchroma thread.

First of all don't talk shit. I have 2. Second, I'm not flipping for the sake of flipping I'm clearing space.
