Its not about that. If u approach a seller with nothing but praise you'll never get anything at a better price. There's plenty of boot licking in sales threads, nothing wrong with taking the praise down a few notches for negotiation reasons. It's not personal. I've dealt with more cutthroat sales tactics then that. How about the seller who sells to someone else for more after taking money down, or says he'll pay asking and beats you down at your door. At least I'm upfront about it.

I don't have a problem with you trying to get a better price. I would suggest contacting the seller directlly. Most sales negotiators don't do it in front of a crowd.
