2.0 LED boards? now this will help drive up the price to make it worth the extra expense! When I take the plunge and buy one, i'd only look at the 2.0 systems.

Care to elaborate on why the 2.0 are so much better? What did JJP do differently?

#5 6 years ago

Not daisy chained together so if one goes out rest arent affected.

This is correct. You might not ever have problems with the other board versions, but if you're going to spend $8k on a game, dont buy the second or third best options and those are the older boards.

#7 6 years ago

Wow - that's a great price

-4
#8 6 years ago

I love the, "that's a great price", or, " should get every penny", Or, "great deal" comments. Lot of unsuspecting sellers buy the hype and hold out for that golden deal. Unfortunately market doesn't always follow hype.

#9 6 years ago

Actually, it is a good price with the new 2.0 system, at least compared to the NIB price of what, $9500. It is a great game.

#10 6 years ago

Great game didnt plan on having to sell but in the end its just a toy and real life will always trump a pin.

#11 6 years ago

bought a RR Febuary of last year and I have the old 1.0 system. I've already had to replace over 26 boards, super annoying though almost all were covered under warranty except the last two. believe me it's definitely worth any extra expense, especially if your routing the machine.

does anyone know if you can upgrade the system to 2.0?

Wow. That's crazy.

I guess I've been fortunate. I've never replaced a board in my 2013 WOZ.

Are your outlets grounded?

#14 6 years ago

yup, outlets are grounded. I actually ran the outlets in that room myself. I found another operator who had the same exact issue's, he finally pulled the game and put it in his home collection.
I talked to the tech about it he says it's likely due to static. He said that the woz electronic components much more prone to static then say, any other pin out there.

he suggested I stop using novus and use wizards mist and shine. They say they did testing and found that it actually lowered the static something or rather. That combined with it being on carpet and being turned on 24/7 didn't help either. I finally installed a timer, and cleaned it less frequently. Seemed to help, since I was having roughly 2 to 3 boards go out every month. now it was like 6 months with only one board going bad. Still haven't replaced it since it's one of the rainbow targets.

I finally took it home to shop it, I have four other pins connected up to the same 2 circuits with no issues.

Based on what? This is a brand new game at a $1500 discount just because it was removed from the box

#16 6 years ago

The worst is when a game is propped up only by those comments. When a game like this has more reason to be a higher price, then the comments are merited.

#17 6 years ago

Yeah i know i hate it kinda like taking a new car off the lot .

#18 6 years ago

I wouldn't sell mine for $9k. Love the game and I have had the 2.0 boards as well. Only issues I have had is needed a Cliffy and a broken spring.

#19 6 years ago

Trust me i dont wanna sell it but lifes problems.

#20 6 years ago

Understand, my worst year with daycare cost me $18k. Ignore the negativity, look at their collection this is a great deal.

sad to see this, but with an 11 month old at home and another one the way, i understand the Family First mentality. When the time comes that you want to get another Woz let me know and I will make sure you get a great price on it.

i have passed your name and number on to a couple of people not on pinside. hopefully one of them can help you out.

i will also honor the remainder of the extended warranty that was offered when this game was purchased. i show a 20 month remainder.

#22 6 years ago

Thanks alot Chris that means alot to me.

Warranty remainder is great, helps allot, but, the game isn't proven even with 2.0. Warranty is great for the 1 or 2 unsuspecting issues that get corrected completely and you have a solid machine, it's worthless if it's the same crap over and over. Ok till Warranty ends, then its all headaches. Prices on this pin are dropping, fast. This pin is new, but the title, not so much. If someone sold a year old version, unless routed, should get the same game, like to no difference.

I've seen some junk for sale, definitely candidates for restoration, shot otherwise, and people comment, what a deal. Comments aren't always honest, always support the sellers price, unless it's extremely high in the retard realm, or to pat buddies on the back, again building the hype. This machine interests me, but ill wait till the hype settles and or it sells to the got to have it at any price guy, and I'll find another. A few for sale, not selling too fast.

Not trying to insult. It's a buyers perspective.

Dude, it isn't cool to crap all over a game in a for sale thread, especially as you mention that you're interested in buying one as it gives the appearance that you're just looking to drive down the price. If you have a legitimate gripe about a game or manufacturer, start a new posting. Ragging about a game on a For Sale ad is in bad taste, and more so for ads that are local to you.

the 2.0 system is pretty well proven. it is the same system that is in Hobbit and Dialed In!. i have not seen a single report of any light board issues on hobbit (i am not saying it can't happen, but i have not seen any).

#26 6 years ago

Game is 100% working has no issues. Thanks Eric.

What are you even talking about? Go crawl back under that rock and leave his thread alone. Ive owned mine for 3+ years and had 1 issue. Haven't replaced 1 board yet and mine is the first run of the ECLE. Stop talking about stuff you have no idea about.

#28 6 years ago

Stupid question: How do you know if you have the 2.0? I bought this exact machine in December 2016.

#29 6 years ago

It will be printed on your boards

#30 6 years ago

I'm so sorry to hear that you have to sell. I bought a RR WOZ around the same time. Zero issues and my favorite game ever. With all of these mods this is a fantastic deal. I'd already be buying it if I didn't own two WOZ already.

If anyone is looking for the best version of WOZ, in good condition, with all of the most important mods, get this ASAP.

GLWS.

any machine with a build date of 12/15/16 or later should be the 2.0 system

Yes, driving down price. Now you get what you do when you buy. I like the game, love it, for way less money. I will own this title eventually, at my price point. When you sell you blow the price up and how great the game is. If someone comes to buy from me I understand that angle. Who wants to pay more. Sometimes you lose your ass, and sometimes you can stay firm knowing buyers are lining up. I've Never paid just under asking or close to asking unless the price was super reasonable, if Its a great game, but usually I pay way less. Its nothing to do with bashing. I'll buy anything that interests me so long as I can fix what's possibly gonna go wrong and still be ahead on the value of the machine. I didn't even mention the playfield wear issues some have had, or others who put their games in home because of issues of reliability on route. Can read all that in the reviews of the game. So not into bashing for the sake of bashing a game I like.

Some go buy a car they really want and can't stop drooling, and the seller denies every offer less then asking knowing the buyer wants it so bad. If it's been for sale for awhile, you go with your poker face and beat the price down to nothing, and mention every possible problem someone had, that may need addressing, just have cash in hand.

This is business. No room for safe spaces and trigger warning b.s.

A games always better when you buy it for less.

In real life? So this pinside thing is all but a fantasy land, a dream? Well it is kind of. Too many in pinball with man love triangles over pinball toys. A lot of white knights on here rescuing men. Usually it's dorks rescuing women whom they will never ever have chances with. Maybe there's more going on at some all men pinball parties.
Knowing who I am for future pinball sales? Seriously pinside is but a small small part of pinball sales. Besides, I have the means to get whatever I want no matter if you know me or not. I have minions to take care of such things and seller are clueless when I send a skilled buyer to beat them down on price and that game ends up in my collection. Or i show up and do the same. No one id's pinball buyers, go figure. that's me grinning ear to ear knowing this.

Ive read this mess 3 times and I still have no idea what you are talking about. Are you currently on drugs? Maybe you just escaped from the mental ward? I always thought Whysnow was off his meds but you clearly have a huge issue.

Go away and let this guy sell his machine. Clearly, you CANT afford it.

The games great. It is. Not knocking it. He'll get it sold. I'm sure anyone will love it that wants it. I would, just not at $8500. I guess screw me if I want a game and want it at a steal. People need to calm down. Although I will say I love giving verbal beat downs. Defend your own sales and games. I have nothing against this seller but if push came to shove with him having to sell and the price was a steal I'd be there with the cash no questions and that's business. Sorry he's got life problems, you have a couch I can lay on? It'll be awhile for most if we all rehash our past and ongoing life story of hardship. That's life.
Good luck with your sale.
