Item description

Home use only
#223 of 1000

Build date 11/20/2013.
Latest software update.

The Rainbow lights letter "I" doesn't flash every color. This is the only flaw I can find on this beautiful example.

Cabinet side art appears to be direct print (not decals).

LED boards are the factory 7.5v version that they switched to in Oct 2013 production.

Local pick-up preferred. I'm 7 miles off I-75 in Ocala, FL.

No trades

I don't remember the standard models being numbered, but it's been a few years. Can you refresh my memory? Plus they came with a topper?

WTH is going on here? The standards weren’t numbered. Looks like the apron from one of those make shift emerald city editions from automated to try to sell more green games. Still a fair price but odd

Yes, they numbered the first 1,000 standards. They may have stopped it at some point before reaching 1,000 but the early ones were absolutely numbered. Some of them had the direct print cabinet also.

Yup. My WOZ standard is numbered as well!

JJP made so many different versions of this game with small tweaks. It’s wild. Anyone have a full list of all the versions and tweaks over the years? Remember the Rescue Edition (which, if I recall, also had two versions though one was a one off)?

Those version 7.5v light boards are what is in my RR edition. They have held up great in my game.

I have a numbered standard version with 7.5v light boards and direct print cabinet. It came with a topper. My game has been rock solid since I bought it new years ago.

GLWS. It is a great game.

Yeah, it was really hard to keep track.

I documented the major editions here: https://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Jersey_Jack_Repair_Guides#Wizard_of_Oz

JJP came out with a handful of special custom editions (basically a custom apron) for certain individuals.

O'wow, I had no idea there was THAT many different ones. Holy Smokes, talk about a money grab.....but it's probably what he needed to do to keep the cash coming in and to help get his company off the ground. I know they spent a ton on promoting the game.

Dang. Mine is decals. Wonder when the switch was made.

They made that switch early with the standards as I recall. Like within the first couple hundred.

Correct, some of the early standards had the direct print cabinets and then were switched to decals. The WOZ direct print cabinets are gorgeous as they are basically the same as clear-coated playfields. They had to keep the direct print cabinets for all ECLE versions as that's what was promised to the initial investors. Ruby Red and forward all have cabinet decals.

I really wish they would have continued with these cabinets but the costs must have been prohibitive.

This game is a great deal and if a direct print cabinet a steal IMHO.

They are basically the Spooky butter cabinets. I wish my Ruby Red had it.

I think it was more random than that. I have a direct print cab with a number in the 700s. (Or was it the numbering that was random?)

#19 4 months ago

Don’t know why this is still around!

I have a feeling it was random....but can't prove it. I was one of the first people to put a deposit on an ECLE and one of the last to get one so who knows what was happening.

#21 4 months ago

Numbers are random. They asked what number I wanted when I purchased mine (standard)

WOZ is still available. It's the direct print cabinet.

I'm just off Interstate 75 if anyone may be passing by on the way to FreePlay this weekend. You could pick it up on the way back!
