Have you put any time against Wonka? I think you’ll find the video clip “issue” is really overblown.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised! I was. It took about an hour of gameplay before it got its hooks into me, and it still does.
The sounds/music really do work when you're playing - it is somehow different watching on a stream.

I think it's possible that the ripples will hold. Mine have not budged and we are approaching 3000 plays.

Our POTC has somewhere around 3300...It shows 1100 now and had around 2200 when I lost settings on an upgrade. (I always back up now!)
That's not even counting the second POTC I had when I worked in CA...that one sold with 1432 plays on it.
Our new Jurassic Park has over 500 on it in like 2 weeks.
So...yeah...we're into this thing.
