Item description

Whitewater game, purchased 12 years ago from the tech startup I worked for as they started downsizing, prior to that they purchased the game from The Game Gallery. Being a tech startup they had ping pong, basketball, a couple of other pins, and this one, which I found quite challenging. Cut to three years ago when we moved into my current home with an unfinished basement and the game has languished, now I'm actually relocating to an even smaller home so the time has come to let someone else enjoy it.

Condition is that all items work including Bigfoot, all optics are good on underplay ramps, servos, and flippers, sound and music are robust. There are a couple of lamps out in the playfield and the topper and the armor in the playfield is only worn at the Whirlpool ball exit in the upper playfield behind Bigfoot. When the game was moved three years ago the movers stepped on the topper and cracked an edge, so it's patched over with clear tape, so it's not really noticeable to a novice, but I know it's there. Side decals have some wear and it's picked up some dust in the basement but I fired it up and it still plays great.

When I clicked "Suggest price" when placing this ad it automatically filled in $5500 USD, the median selling price, but since it does need bit of TLC and my window is short to sell I backed off the price and will consider reasonable offers. pinside.com states this is a Tier 5 game.

This could be your chance to pick up a classic favorite from a great designer with minimal work to restore to pristine condition, a few bulbs, or even completely revamp with LEDs, Diamond Plate touchup, and a replacement topper and your'e there!

Game is in Northern Virginia for local pickup, a quick Google search shows it costs around 4-500 dollars to ship a pinball machine, that expense would have to be negotiated as part of the sale.

In response to queries I am uploading some additional photos of the playfields, some unlit without the glass so you can see without the glare along with some photos of the side decals and topper. The crack on the topper is at the base in the rear, thus it is invisible to players.

I tried to send some of the photos to interested parties but they were rejected with too large a file size since I took full quality photos so you could zoom in on them.

For those of you following this particular ad a member and I have come to an agreement and a deposit has been made while arranging the particulars of securing a professional move to the game's new home. We live in interesting times so it's a tad more complicated than it used to be, but if all works out the way it's supposed to the game will soon be wending its way to fill just the right spot.

Thank you for the many fine responses to this ad, the tone of your messages and good wishes indicate to me that I've been missing out on a great community for far too long.

***Final Update: the game is now making its way to a new home and I should make a correction: In my original description I mistakenly identified the clear plastic dome as the topper when saying it had been cracked by previous movers but now am given to understand that it's the laser print foil under the plastic dome that's actually the topper, which is in fine shape with no damage at all, so the new owner should be pleasantly surprised by that news.

Thanks again for the input and well wishes from members here, I've got lots of interesting reading on the forum to go through with the various projects and such.

Is the head repainted? Looks black. You might want to add some more pictures.

I have seen a handful of other white waters with the black head. Strange

I guess it is a reimport, wonder if that is related somehow.
