This is going to get good. I can already hear the sirens.

#3 5 years ago

Bumbo is adorable...he's so cute.
Not a fan of the white powder coat. Ive seen light blue with the Winter white water, i liked that.
Maybe more pics for 9k. I did over 50 for a 3k machine. Just me, trying to transparent.
Glws, this could take awhile.

#4 5 years ago

ok, this has just gotten stupid now!

#5 5 years ago

Seriously he has LED's in the topper light boards!! How many times have we been over this about led's cancelling out the waterfall effect? Good news is the seller is willing to trade straight up for a 600 play Baywatch.

#6 5 years ago

What’s up with that snow moncheechee?

#7 5 years ago

Good luck with that

#9 5 years ago

Now I see why it's so expensive. Has the super rare double apron mod. Nearly twice as good as 1 custom apron.

good response time from price police! pinside must of upped there funding with the severe amount of crazy overpriced games recently

#14 5 years ago

OK I am a bit confused here. Is this the same WW that was just listed recently for $7200? Same armor from CA. Did the $7200 one flip and relist for 9k? or different game just similar?

It can't be a different similar game, this is a one of a kind custom....

Awesome condition, too bad it’s got that white trim. Might want to fix that before selling to make it easier.

I can say this about the $9000: It would cost more than $9000 for someone to recreate this WH20.

That being said, just because it cost that much to create this pin does not mean it is worth that much on the market. Just as in the classic car hobby or many other collectibles, there are MANY restorations that cost WAY more than the final value. Pinball is no different, and in this case, that does not make this WH2O a $9000 pin......but I bet the market will bear that out.

No it wouldn’t.

Price out all those things that someone did to it (tasteful or not), both the ones listed in the description and the ones that show up in the pics. It adds up. Then add that to the cost of a stock WH2O pin. It will be over $9K, and that's not counting labor & time.

No need to dream, it's math. Confirmed.

It might be cool to put some Blue Waves in on top of the white armor. You could make it look like water is pouring out of the leg bolts. This wouldn't be that hard to do with an air brush.

I thin there should be a 4th choice in the marketplace price options : X970000

How about the TZ for 12K that has 3K in mods but none are shown.... this is starting to get silly I agree.

#34 5 years ago

Its a great looking game. If it was more reasonably priced I would jump all over it. Someone asking so much over market is alarming....

I do agree I think its a clean game going for that high end look but its still a white water.

You say that dismissively like its a #300 ranked game. Fact is this game is in high demand now. However this ugly ass $9000 mess is a joke

#37 5 years ago

Bump for a really nice High Water uh I mean White Water.

#38 5 years ago

Eye of the beholder... I like the white, personally.

Good game, wish it was closer and cheaper.

Did he mention it actually snows in the game. I don't normally price police but this has gotten dumb. I bought many a WW for $1500 dollars and used to sell them back in the early 2000's for $2500 to $3k. Super nice were $3.5k. Shopped and working well. Not with all of these so called "Upgrades". MM's were $6k at that time and was considered expensive.

Nice restored wh20 with color dmd , nice original topper and other mods sell for 6-8k now . This one is nice but the white makes it a very specific market.

Looks like the same Whitewater that was sold out of Spokane, WA a couple of years back. The price went up again by another $2K. The features are unmistakable.

Completely fair....it grew $1k per year. Easily.

You that game is special. It has a direct link to “the twilight zone” as this High Water has the real snow module.

He might get 9k with a new playfield, ramps, etc with all those mods. With the mods alone? I'm not seeing it

#47 5 years ago

Why do sellers expect buyers to eat the price of their mods to a game when they come to sell it?

I bought a ST Pro for £4250, added £250 worth of mods but sold it for £4250. Those mods were my choice and the buyer might not have cared for them, ripping them out straight away once they got the game home. You shouldn't be expecting the buyer to cover your costs for these.

#48 5 years ago
Quoted from Utesichiban:

Oh I agree, it's not a $9K pin. Based on present going rates for WH2O I can see low 7s if the mods are to your taste, as it seems to be well done from the pics. My point was that the cost of recreating this pin using a standard run of the mill WH2O with all the new parts and mods used for this one would be over $9K. Classic case of spending more on the restoration/modifications than the item is actually worth.

#49 5 years ago

Whitewater has long been recognized as the most expensive game to restore...a set of ramps, a dome, and a set of mountains is a grand, right off the bat. No other game can compete with that.

And then you have to deal with replacing all that white powder....

#50 5 years ago

9k might be a bit on the high side, but not outrageous. The obstacle with selling this game isn't the quality, it's the highly stylized appearance (I'm not a fan of the white trim and coin door).

If I were to sell mine, I'd price it @ 7k. Doesn't have as much "bling", but is a stunning example. For me, it's a unique game that will never leave my collection. Considering the crap being produced today, WH20 is a standout for any ramp loving pinball collector. Great ruleset and wizard mode.
