Regardless of what people think about the game (personally, I kind of like the color scheme), labeling it as a HEP is false advertising. If Chris Hutchins didn’t do it while under his HEP branding (even he says work by him before HEP should not be considered HEP restores), then it is 100% false to say “HEP restored”. For those in the pinball community HEP is not a general term, rather, it specifically referes to a pin restored by High End Pins.

Realizing this may not be intentional on your part, I suggest that you just modify the title of your add, and you’ll be golden (pun intended).

On another point not isolated to this WW, it seems to me that superlatives presented in a for sale ad are what evoke such critical responses. If one were to highlight all of the positive things about a pin in a humble manner by allowing the reader draw their own conclusions regarding the beauty/class of the game (eg not calling it the best example in the world, especially when it is not a restoration to OEM specs), then most of the backlash could be avoided.

Be proud of what you have, represent it honestly without making superlative statements, and see how the market responds.

Geez everyone. As far as the negative comments on the powder coat color, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, it is obvious he was trying to tie the color to the Whitewater logo on the sides of the cabinet which is a logical color combination that is complimentary (actually this same blue and similar gold where my Jr. High colors, used in professional sports franchises, and even in decorating and art). At least the choice makes sense, unlike many I see, even if not appealing/desirable by some.

Offer constructive criticism where appropriate, but I just don't see the value of puking on his trim color.

Quoted from SpyroFTW:

Im not sure you understand how the internet works. Constructive criticism isnt as fun.

Well, I'm never going to be one to tell people how to think, feel, or react but I would like to appeal to people's better nature at times. I also occasionally have sympathy for those who are getting kicked while they’re down, even if they brought some of it on themselves . . . geez, I'm getting soft in my old age!
