Quoted from pbwiz:You don’t know what a whirlwind looks like?
Not one worth $15,000
Quoted from pbwiz:Ok so why ask then..
Just to be lame I guess
Not for nothing but if you looking to sell a game that goes for $6k on a good day for $15k you may want to post pics but that’s just my opinion.
Quoted from pbwiz:Maybe pics aren’t ready yet. Is that ok with you guys?
Are you developing them?
Quoted from pbwiz:Maybe pics aren’t ready yet. Is that ok with you guys?
Maybe get the pics ready before you post the ad?
Quoted from pbwiz:Is that a requirement of Pinside to avoid getting trolled?
Highly debatable who's trolling here.

I’m not selling pictures. So if you want to buy a pinball machine please reply.

This is a machine ad and I’m only responding to unsolicited comments. You too

Like I said when the price is abnormally high pictures will help the sale. But it’s your ad your game do what you want. I am out of this conversation. Good luck
Considering that very early production WW (about 200) playfields were cleared with DP, which in this case was a very early prototype urethane formula by Dupont, proved to be problematic and was pulled from SP's production line. While revisions to the DP formula was made and tested on a few other titles during and after WW, it wasn't perfected until 2 years later. Is that a selling point for your particular example? Maybe, maybe not...

Please clarify what was problematic with Ww Diamond Plates? The playfield plays better than a non DP by miles. Is it that it was not profitable? Are new and reproduction playfields problematic as well?
Quoted from pbwiz:Are new and reproduction playfields problematic as well?
Yes.
Many new and repro playfields have significant quality issues.
So people want to see detailed pictures of those.
Quoted from pbwiz:You don’t know what a whirlwind looks like?
Dude, don't be naive. You're asking a price that would insinuate that you have, quite possibly, the nicest whirlwind on planet earth. I'd expect pics of every inch of that machine for 15k asking price.
I have a bonkers nice whirlwind with new everything including radcals, and I wouldn't dream of asking 15k for it. So yeah, I'd love to see a whirlwind that makes mine look like absolute crap.
CA, where the homes and now the pins are 3x the price of everywhere else.
Seriously though, why is it always people from CA or FL.

Wow, you're a national treasure. Is this the "I don't want to sell it, but my wife's making me list it" price?

I don't care if the price is low, high, or just right, if you're selling something there should be quality pictures, but theres definitely an upward trend on price to picture amount/quality.
Doesn't Pinside have a filtering system at all? $15k for a ww. GTFOH!!
Also why are ads listing things like "Funhouse Morpho" allowed? Is this some sorta Williams model they produced? Before this, it was listed as "Funhouse CE". Talk about false advertising for an inflated price tag.
Tighten the ship.
Quoted from pbwiz:Maybe pics aren’t ready yet. Is that ok with you guys?
I’ve never understood the thought process of making a for sale ad somewhere with no pics. In 2023, it requires less effort to add pics than to do most anything else.
Pinside has the most absurd FS ads.
Consistently overpriced. Shitty or no pics at all. Terrible descriptions. Ridiculous amount of pins listed as Undocumented HUO. And the ads seem to always end with "Best condition I've ever seen".
This forum is literally a haven for collectors who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

If Williams only knew that 80% of their games apparently never went on route!!
Quoted from Oneangrymo:my first time downvoting an ad, yippie!
Warning-downvoting is as addictive as yeyo

Or a hole in the ground, but who's counting.......

If this doesn’t sell in the next 24 hours. You should double the price to $30,000 and tell everybody you won’t send photos either.
You can only view the Diamond plate playfield by appointment in a vault in Switzerland. This creates mystique. Maybe sprinkle some fake zirconia diamonds around it with a fog machine blowing smoke up the person’s ass.

Forgot to hit spell check.
If only there was a price check button available before posting a FS ad. We could change the name to reality check.

Spell check would not have caught that error, but when in Rome

You forgot to end your sentence with proper punctuation. When in Rome.

I didn't forget, I was just too lazy

Oh yeah totally agree, pictures are crucial

Nah I was just too lazy, its pretty often that I don't punctuate the end of my sentences on a forum but I always have energy to poke fun at people, especially when they are really sensitive about it
