Quoted from pinbum:

Wow i am glad everyone thinks this is a great deal , i was going to sell a nicer one for only $2800 locally guess these have gone up quick.

Originally I thought the same thing when I saw $3500 for a Whirlwind but when you factor in all the new parts - he is actually selling the "base machine" for under $2000. New ramps, new playfield, new topper, new plastics, etc add up quickly.

Yes you would need to do a playfield swap if you want a super nice machine but if you didn't care about the playfield you could sell that and have a WW with lots of new parts on it for under $2750.

So maybe sell it for $2500 without the playfield may be the way to go.

I think if I owned it I would offer the playfield for sale separately first and if that sold then sell the machine for less money. There are people looking for playfields & there are people looking for good used working machines but rarely is the guy looking to do a playfield swap looking to buy a machine & a playfield at the same time.

What I wouldn't do is sell the machine then try to sell the playfield because who knows how long it might take to find a buyer for the playfield
