For sale: Very Nice Monster Bash

Added: November 7th, 2016 Ended: November 18th, 2016
Condition: Fully restored (full original status)

Item description

I've decided to part with my Monster Bash to make room for another pin. It is a cool game / fun. I get to where I have to pack-a-lunch to play it, end up getting the Monsters of Rock almost every game. Also, I've been in the process of cycling games out a bit based on certain themes and I have my eye on a different haunted / monster / ghost themed game for the time being.

This Monster Bash falls somewhere between a very-nice player's game and a CQ / Restore.
(Not quite a CQ-Restore but Player's quality sells it a little short)

The game is fully LED'd with a pretty clever use of purples and uv that make it somewhat hard to photograph.

The Good:

Playfield is in great condition overall. The game plays flawlessly and is beautiful. The boards do not appear to have been hacked or have any shenanigans at play.

ColorDMD, though I have a great-looking standard DMD that I can send with it instead. (Subtract $350 for regular DMD)

Previous owner did a creative LED job that I really like. Makes the game pop.

Black / Smoke Mirror Blades

Lit Flipper buttons

Drac Track looks decent but not perfect, see pictures in forum post)

The Bad:

Cabinet - Leg protectors have wrinkled the decals a bit. Strangely enough there are also the metal-styled protectors beneath these plastic ones. I don't know if the metal protectors (proper for decals) was added after or if the plastic protectors were added to cover up some of the wrinkle.

Backbox head has a few spots of scratches / wrinkles.

It looks like the monster bash / mode kick out scoop has probably been repaired. Beneath the cliffy I see a little white that looks like puddy. They did a good job, in my opinion, though.

I'm not interested in any trades, not at the moment - anyway.
Listed for what I have in it.

I'm happy to prep the machine for travel if you'd like to arrange for STI / NAVL / Roadie / uShip, etc. References available on request.

Quick Video walkthrough of the pin. I try to highlight any 'warts' just to be as transparent as possible. Always happen to do a live skype / facetime or facebook video walkthrough as well.

Wow looks nice from few pics and has color dmd, cliffys and some lighting upgrades. Good price for a awesome pin that dont become available often

Same here!

Great price for what you get. It would be so hard for me to part ways with my MB

#8 2 years ago

Thanks guys! I updated to post with some of the light strips locations. I missed that he has one in the kickout scoop as well but you can see it in the video tour.

On this particular game, I didn't do the light up work / another Pinsider did but I thought he did a great job. The machine really looks the part.

Actually, I bought standard purple strips from cointaker to replace some of the UV's because I got paranoid reading about fade-potential but figured since I only have the game on for a couple of hours / month that my paranoia was probably unfounded. I keep the playfield waxed and I suppose the wax has some UV protection to it.

"Wish you were closer... Bump"

Playfield looks nice overall and well well above average. Cabinet may have been redecaled or at least the front . Like the uv lighting so thax for that idea . Good deal on a nice fun pin with a awesome theme and ruleset. Also if you want this game to b more fun and challenging and to last in home use.... first you should definitely open the outlanes up the whole way (yours are on the easiest setting which rarely drains)), set preset difficulty to hard and take some of the extra balls away or make them harder to get.
Glws but it sld go fast

Very tempting

I think you are one of the most honest sellers on pinside. I wish all the pinsiders would list all the details and cosmetic issues with their games. Also, It's at a good price. I really like the addition of the video. If I didn't already have a MB then I would definitely get it from you. Glws.

#13 2 years ago

same here. If I didn't already have one... but that IJ would look nice next to my MB ... hint..

#14 2 years ago

damn if you were closer. this is on my want list!

#15 2 years ago

Figured that wldnt take long... someone got a nice pin at fair price

#16 2 years ago

Thanks guys!

Looks like she found a good home - I got up this morning and put a game in just for posterity, I know I'll miss the game but I'm also excited about trying some new stuff. Sure wish I had the time and space for these epic collections that I see some of you guys have..

I'll update the post if anything changes.

That looks like our pinballbulbs led kit. If so, it's not a UV strip, it's purple already
