Most people I've spoken to have had this issue with the plastic shield above the drop target breaking/cracking.

My game is a year old and HUO and the plastic just broke in 3 pieces.

I have replacements available based on design input from pinball shop owners and operators.

Confirmed to fit on Pro and LE/Prem games. Already installed on more than 14 Pinsider's games.

Comes in 3 versions:

PETG plastic - with lip - closest to original spec - polished edge
PETG plastic - no lip - favored by operators - polished edge
Lexan with lip - stronger material - rougher edge similar to ramps

$10 USD each, I can ship up to 2 plastics for $5USD to US or Canada.

International $15 USD shipping for up to 2 pieces.

Yes,It is worth it.On the LE and Prem the opto wires are tucked under the plastic on the right.Thats why stern left it off.

I just took that plastic off.And drilled a small hole into the plastic.And feed the opto wires and my explosion mod wires into the hole also.

If you don't drill a hole.The opto wires will get crimped.This is the solution for the LE and Prem.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Because the lip on the original plastic had a tendency to break.

This has been resolved with the use of Lexan instead of sterns cheap plastic.

With the Lexan I have had the drop target slam the ball into the Lexan.With no damage.The no lip prevents air balls from a vengenence shooting balls.But won't prevent a air ball from the drop target.

Check the link of the original post but that's the design an operator had been using. Less impact to the plastic (less maintenance?) but potential for more airballs.

I haven't heard of any of my protectors breaking yet. So its really personal preference.
