Wow, haven't been following along on Ultraman. Are sellers really taking an $800 loss on a preorder?? Yikes.

A local on our newsgroup took a bigger whack than this.

Interesting. It's like a Negative Flipper?

Pretty soon are we going to have to pay people to take the $2K deposit? or just walk away from it.... wow. The only two pinball machines in existence right now that you would take a loss on.

There are people panicking and willing to take a loss because of other people's opinions and not even flipping the game. Very few even out there and code not even close to being finished to make such a knee jerk reaction to IMO.

Seems any group of 500 folks will have a few that jump ship due to financial or otherwise unforeseen reasons. It just so happens that the game is also in a hype-cycle lull at the moment so everyone looking to get out is having trouble finding a buyer.

Guess you've never heard of Thunderbirds?

Better to keep the game imo if you can, or if not someone should jump on this. Many not be familiar with Ultraman being Japanese but believe it's perfect for pinball... in a time where a lot of others are jumping at the latest and greatest most popular thing? Ultraman could be the biggest sleeper ever and best game out there, few produced too. Good Luck!

Have limited space and Fargo Pinball picked up an early run CE of both games. Both HWN and UM are cool/unique games that will surely mature over time but don't feel like I currently need either of them duplicated in my collection when they're only 10 mins away and there are so many titles coming out. (Bill from Fargo Pinball has really been raving about UM, so maybe I should re-think this?)

A pinsider made a really nice overview video of current gameplay: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/ultraman-kaiju-rumble-owners/page/9#post-6642235
