Incredible, all-original TZ! US/Domestic production model with coin mechs. NOT a re-import. Pictures pretty much speak for themselves.

Perfect cabinet and head, with zero fade.

Plays great, everything works (including the clock and trough eddy sensor) and is completely original.

Boards are perfect, no resets - even while double-flipping during Powerball Multiball!

Battery holder has been removed and NVRAM installed for future-proofing.

Comes with original coin box, mint manual, and other paperwork.

Come check it out in Reading, MA.

Is this an 8k game now?

Only one way to tell. I will say that Twilight Zone is way nicer than your average example. If this sells for $8,000 then it doesn't mean every one will go for $8,000. There are very few, nice original survivors like this.

#5 6 years ago

This is a nice one, but overall, there are too many TZ's out there and they are too easy to find to ever be an 8K game all the time. If it is an 8K game now, everyone has gone mad!

Always up for offers and trades, and a shameless bump for the weekend

#14 6 years ago

Bumping for Luke, I've seen this game in person since I'm lucky enough to live a few miles from him.
It is absolutely beautiful original condition, I'm sure their are very few left like this.

#15 6 years ago

Such a nice looking game! Wish I had cash

VERY nice TZ. Wish my cabinet was in that condition.

#18 6 years ago

I agree! Though I'm not exactly going crazy with the advertising... something deep inside me yearns... "KEEEEEP ITTTTTTT"

#20 6 years ago

I f I go a month or so without playing mine, I contemplate selling it to get something else. Then once I play it again, I remember why I have it!

#21 6 years ago

Just spotted this cool writeup of a Raspberry Pi-powered external DMD emulator:

Edit: Oops, this was supposed to go in the TZ owner's thread... accidental shameless bump I guess

#22 6 years ago

Bump!

Just had all the boards gone over and NVRAM installed. Also plenty of "playtesting" to make sure it's 100% - and it sure is.

Bump for the weekend! Take this beauty home. Been playing it a lot, TZ is still the best game ever made.

I guess you haven't played Dialed In

#25 6 years ago

Dialed In is great but I'd still say tz is better.

For a TZ in this condition? All day, yes.

#27 6 years ago

I will also accept one (1) Bitcoin

apparently not.

#29 6 years ago

This is a nice example but with other tz’s with mods, restored etc. an unmodded original, albeit nice, does not command 8k. 44 days and no sale speaks volume of the market.

#30 6 years ago

I haven't been pushing it very hard either, so I'm not sure this little thread is a Market Indicator™ for the Twilight Zone Pinball Index.

Also have been entertaining some trades/moves privately. And I'm always up for offers.

But mostly I've just been staring at it.

What do the "High End Restores" sell for?

Just thinking/daydreaming out loud here... (bump for a nice looking TZ)

100 years from now when more TZs have succumbed to the ravages of time (floods, hurricanes, fires) our great-great-great-grand kids will be watching Antiques Road Show and a fellow will have brought his circa-2013 High-End Restore TZ to the show and I can imagine the appraiser almost mocking the owner...

"This is a beautiful looking machine, but had some PO not chromed the metal parts, removed the plasma DMD, sanded and re-decaled the cabinet and painted the inside of the cabinet... (the appraiser will be smug to point out, "it wouldn't have left the Bally factory like that") you'd have a 10M Yuan (the global currency is now Yuan as the trade imbalance was so whacked for so long that eventually China just softly absorbed the US). "But due to the molestation of this machine years ago, it is only worth... (pause for dramatic effect) 1M Yuan."

Not making any judgement about this machine or any other but maybe this machine will be on the RS 100 years from now at 10M Yuan?

"10M Yuan by Christmas 2117"

I'd trade a mint, modded Ironman for it.

I will also accept one (1) Bitcoin

As an aside, I've actually considered listing both my players TZ and my Met Pro for a Bitcoin. I was planning on experimenting with the idea after the holiday.

As for your game, that's an absolutely beautiful example. I sold a verified HUO TZ awhile back, and yours looks every bit as nice. If I were in a better financial place, I would love to add such a gem to my collection.

Good luck with the sale!
