I've sold over 80+ pins and TronLE will be the one I regret the most if I ever sold it.

Quoted from IdahoRealtor:Sounds about right. It has been a ~$10k pin forever. If some idiot paid Kaneda $25k that's on them.
PotC LE was a $10k pin for a time, GnR CE was a $12.5k pin 6 months ago. I don’t thing saying something used to be a certain price holds much water in today’s market.
Quoted from Soulrider911:Ebay is also a whole other story. Let’s do a little friendly math. Assuming one did sell for 25k the seller fees alone would be around 1400.00 so that brings it down to 23600... which is still absurdly expensive.
This is not even considering paypal fees if paypal was used.
eBay fees are capped at $750.
Quoted from fattrain:Incorrect. Here is the breakdown.[quoted image]
Sorry, I should have said eBay fees are capped at $750 for sellers that have stores.
Store subscriptions start at $5/month, so it’s certainly worth it if you plan on listing an expensive item.
Quoted from wackenhut:Before this "ONE" sale, Tron was a 10K to 15K game and still will be that price for the time being. No pinball enthusiast on pinside is going to pay over that. Ebay is a different story. As far as this ad, it was just to try to capitalize on the sale. A "why not" scenario. Nothing wrong with that. I am sure a Tron LE owner would accept 15K.
I’m pretty sure you are wrong, but we’ll see. Once a new high is set in the market, it often becomes the new normal going forward.
At one time, there was just “ONE” sale of POtC LE above 10K, but look where we are now.
I’ve felt for a LONG time that TronLE was undervalued in the market as it’s been the same price for the last 5+ years. The *ONLY* factor that was keeping the price down was the remake threat. But now that Stern has a backlog of 5000 games and sells 1000s of every new release, it’s looking super slim that a remake will ever happen. So the price finally adjusts to the reality, rarity and demand.
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:This is such baloney. Did you know that about 4 or 5 years ago there was window of time where Tron LE was selling for $13,500?
It’s not - but whatever, no reason to argue with you. As I’ve owned my Tron LE since 2015, I’m quite aware of what prices have been the entire time I’ve owned it.
I haven’t sold it since I bought it because a) it’s awesome, b) it’s rare, c) it’s undervalued in the market. I’m pretty sure there’s about 400 other owners who feel the same. Is it worth $25k? $20k? The market will decide. But I doubt you’ll be seeing any listed for much less than those prices until we get a couple of market points.
Quoted from drfrightner:The game is worth $25,000 because Kaneda said someone sold one of these games for 25k. Yeah Kaneda is the same person who put a Big Lebowski up on ebay for 50k just to get a rise out of people. Please. That is a reason for the price. C'mon.
Condition because your shooter lane is pristine its worth 25k? So hey everyone go buy a brand new PRO anything from Stern put it up for sale for 25k and tell people because the shooter lane is pristine. This one is just funny as hell.
He also claims 'Rarity' look at your plaque it says 1 of 600... how is that rare? Guns N Roses CE is only 500 so your Tron LE which has 100 more copies is more rare? HUH. Hey everyone they only made 300 Oktoberfest they are now worth $50,000 because they only made HALF as many Trons. Line them up!
Another point is 'heavily modded' what are you talking about almost every pinball game is heavily modded... someone anyone go out and buy every single mod for Baywatch, boom its worth 25k just like that.
For all these reasons yeah I can buy into the 25k price tag. I'm on board now.
First off - get your facts straight - there are 400 Tron LEs, not 600.
On a different thread last week, you were arguing that EHOH LE is a $15k game because there was a market outlier that sold for that much. Even though there’s only been *1* sell for that price. Yet you come here and make the argument that we should ignore the TronLE that sold for $25k? That’s kind of hypocritical.
How about you sell me your GnR CE for $12.5k? It was a $12.5k game 6 months ago, so.....[insert whatever argument you like here]...it’s only worth $12.5k!
Quoted from neverahighscore:I love Tron! And I'm not selling for 25G's!!! Well maybe...
[quoted image]
That’s awesome. I know how you feel...
Quoted from wackenhut:The OP is not expecting to get 25K, it was more of a "wow", one sold on ebay for a ridiculous amount, I am going to put it out there. Everyone knows that noone on Pinside is going to pay that. Also, glad to see that LOTR is getting up there in price. Now a listing for 9K. LOTR is the best stern imo.
My guess is that everyone on Pinside that wanted a Tron LE already has (or had) one. If not, they probably have their rear ends puckered up and are looking at importing overseas games and/or scavenging local retail game room stores hoping they haven’t seen the eBay sale.
Most Tron LE owners don’t want to sell, that’s why you don’t see them for sale often.
And yes, LOTR is a great game. IMO Tron is better (but polar opposite in looks, sounds and gameplay). I bought both of them NIB and only Tron is still around.
Quoted from wackenhut:For 3K more you can get yourself a JJ GNR CE and definitely going to be reproduced
There - fixed that for you.
Slash Shredder Edition - limited to 500 - $12,500!
