For sale: Transporter the Rescue

Added: January 12th, 2018 Ended: January 14th, 2018
Condition: Used - shows wear, needs some work

Item description

TTR the rarest system 11 game. #266 of the 859 of them made. This is a great candidate for restoration as the playfield is in very good condition. Just a small amount of pop bumper wear. Game plays well and flippers are very strong, but needs a shop-out to be a great player as is. Rubbers cracked, ect. Displays are perfect. CPU has been gone over by Jerry Clause of Gameroom Service. He fixed some corrosion and installed NVRAM. The game just hasn't played a lot of pinball, but the cabinet sure could use full restoration. Included in the sale is new cab decals. Game has new yellow PPS crossover ramp. Those things fit and work perfectly. Feel free to PM or ask questions in the thread.
One more thing. I can offer free delivery between Albert Lea, Mn and Chicago, Ill (Not too far off I-90)within the next week or so. Planning on heading out that way soon

LOL. I know Just got interested in something else and thought I would see if anybody else would like a TTR in there collection. Not something they often will have a chance to do.

#4 9 months ago

I have seen it first hand. Lots of potential here. Wish I had the funds/space/time for this..

I remember playing a brand new copy of this game back in the day, in the Wilkerson dining hall at the University of North Dakota. I always thought that spaceship lock was a pretty cool toy. Last working example I've seen, was a beat up version a couple of years ago in some dive bar way out west. Pretty rare machine, Glwts!

To think that 2 years ago I had one bought from under me for 800 bucks

Wish I would have picked up that project transporter two years ago, this complete one looks fun.

This should be a fun game, but that left sling plastic is going to be tough to find.

It will probably have to be made like many old plastics these days. Getting a scan of the sling plastics is something that shouldn't be too hard to do. I will add that I have the broken sling plastic. It is in like 4 pieces. Scanning and touching up the scan could be done by somebody that has more skills at that then myself.

Interesting. I found my project Transporter off of CL for $800 2 years ago in Eastern WA.

Dozer-can't believe you're leaving the club.

Thanks EdisonArcade. It was quite an interesting little ride Next time I get my heart set on seeing a part get reproduced, it will not be an injection molded part. lol---and I might add that Freeplay still has my spare TTR ramps and intends to make them down the road. So if I could remain an honorary member of the club, that would be cool.

The one I was looking at sold for $200 or so, but was missing boards, main ramp, some plastics. Still tho, I love challenge restores.
