In great condition. I purchased it from the original owner. I replaced flipper rubbers, swapped the metal sling washers for plexiglass, and cleand and waxed the playfield. I kept all original parts.Plays great everything works as it should. Small scuff on right side of head can be seen in picture. Looks way worse in the picture than it does in person.

I would buy this immediately if you were in driving distance. GLWS.

I wish Stern would have produced more of these and the Avengers version. They were priced NIB about $750 above where they needed to be to be big hits. Stern could have gotten these into Sam’s and really grew the pinball market. They needed to be easier to service.

Anyway, wish you were closer.

Wish you were closer been looking for one of these, sucks they recalled most of them

Transformers The Pin got me into pinball. My wife bought me it for Christmas years ago. 30 full-size machines later...

What was the reason they were recalled? Too hard to work on and purchaser’s who knew nothing of pinball kept calling in warranty work is my memory, but that may not be correct.

Stern shouldn’t have given up this market. I know they did Star Wars and Spider-Man home editions as well, but they just want too much for them to truly be entry level.

I think it is true that they were priced originally $750 to $1,000 to high. I know they made improvements to them over the years. They also made a very small run with bill validators and a coin door (5 or 6 games I heard) and were pushing them as bar games taking a smaller foot print. I think the coin versions were iron man themed. Good luck with the sale!

Are you thinking of the iron man Costco version? That was a whole different story...

The home game with the coin door and bill validator was a Home version Spiderman. I posted a picture of it in the thread titled "Stern has a new Spider-man pinball" it's post #468 in that thread from 3 years back. Saw it on the floor at American Vending Sales in Elk Grove Village Illinois. The game also had a small monitor screen and the playfield lifted like a regular Stern game. The Costco games were full size BDK's that came in a full size regular Stern BDK cabinet but used the European single slot coin door. The playfield had the joker reveal, left teater totter ramp and the upper right side (LOTR style path of the dead upper playfield) and associated diverter along with the single joker drop target removed for cost savings. It was a three ball multiball game instead of a four ball multiball on the regular BDK. They re wrote the code and dumbed down the animations. The only setting was one coin for one game so operators wouldn't use them. They were about $600 less than a standard BDK and they made between 48 and 60 of them. Little Shop of Games had the production mule for sale several years ago and I bought it. Basically an unfinished flippable Costco version that was the proof of concept. They just started pulling stuff off of the game. Lots of stuff was hand made.

There could have been a home version iron man Costco version but if there was I'm pretty sure it didn't have a coin door.

I can’t believe this game hasn’t sold yet. Gosh, if only Stern could make a safe cracker sized game at this price point NIB...it would go bananas and really grow the hobby tremendously.
