For sale/trade: Austin Powers

Added: June 8th, 2019 Ended: July 2nd, 2019
Condition: HUO - Undocumented (Home Used Only)

Item description

Nearly perfect Austin Powers for sale or trade. Its been home used only for the last 15 or so years and was only lightly used. It's in nearly perfect condition. I've added a new sheet of glass, latest software, color matched insert LEDs and sunburst gi LEDs, scoop cliffy, and it was just shopped.

The good -

The game plays fantastic. No issues with any of the mechanisms or switches. The cannon works every time. Extra motor is included in case it ever goes out.

Plastics and figures are in very good condition. Extra plastics (looks to be a complete nos set, but not 100% every one is there) and extra figures included

cabinet is nearly perfect. No flipper button or start button wear. No fading that I can discern.

The playfield is very good, one thing noted below. The scoop was in very good shape before I covered it with a cliffy, only paint damage on the black keyline.

Boards are original and function 100%. Translite is great as well.

Bad -
One scratch near fat bastard. Looks to be a surface scratch and not very noticable. Need to get four more cool white LEDs - ran out. The two stand-up stickers on either side of the time machine show some wear. One scuff on the front cab panel. All minor stuff in my opinion but I want to share everything I know.

I'm looking to sell or trade up plus cash for a newer game. I'm open to many games and by no means is what's below complete so do let me know if you have something.

Trades - iron Man, Metallica, gotg, iron maiden, monster bash remake, Star trek, Spider-Man, Tron, walking dead, Ripley's, mustang, xmen le

Local deals preferred, but I will also ship with the buyer paying for anything related to shipping. I could also meet partway for a trade - maybe 2 hours or so from greensboro. Cash preferred, but wire transfer another possibility.

Very clean looking game

I’ve never played Austin powers - looks like it has some cool shots and interesting layout

#4 8 months ago

Just don’t see many of these come up for sale.

#5 8 months ago

I own one and for fans of the movies this is a tremendous game. Call outs are all clipped from the movies. It’s a relatively simple game as far as rule set which is great for beginners or casual gamers. Yours looks fantastic with the LEDs. Need to do that with mine.

Have you played Iron Man? It’s a tweaked re-skin of Austin Powers. AP plays more like Monster Bash, tho. Very similar rules.

#7 8 months ago

Thanks guys. Yes, it is similar to iron Man. It shoots very nice and is a great beginner, kids or casual game as mentioned. Yeah, pretty rare game especially in great condition.

I do enjoy it, but I have the itch to get something new and I never got in to the movies

Bump. Anyone want to trade?

#9 8 months ago

I added a few more trade possibilities. I'm willing to do more than 2 hours driving if it means making a trade happen.

Price drop. $4200 obo now

Love my AP and doubt I'll ever sell it. If you're a fan of the movie, you'll love all the call outs and music. Make sure to get the flower mirror blades. They make the game look awesome.

Wow, those do look really good. I just watched the movie and now all the callouts make sense.

Thanks for the bump. If anyone is on the fence, come over and play it - it's alot of fun

#14 8 months ago

Groovy baby, yeah!

That think should fetch 1 million dollars!

#15 8 months ago

I’ve owned a few AP and don’t remember there being a cannon on it.

Technically it's a laser beam I guess. Swings out from under the apron

Actually it's pronounced "laser" while making hash marks with your fingers, I believe it's technical name is the Alan Parsons Project

Hi, I'm very interested in your AP. I'm actually in Winston.

I could arrange to see the pin this afternoon or tomorrow. Do you want to just text me? Price is fine. Will PM you.

pretty rare game

Anyone have an estimate on how many were made? I've only seen one for sale in the last 10 years on the Minneapolis Craig's List (the one I own). Probably not many made, back when pinball was pretty dead in 2001.

Dr. Evil BUMP! The first NIB machine I purchased, good memories.
