Kinda surprised you're selling it. Any reason or just not into it?

He's slimming his collection down.

On another note, is this price super high I'm guessing?

A hefty profit cures a lot of pinball blues

#5 6 years ago

Considering it’s a butter cabinet and the extra upgrades it has...it’s an additional 1k over cost. Not out of line considering the scarcity of this title. You’d have to offer me much more to pry mine out of my grubby paws when I get it next month

-1
#6 6 years ago

I fell like this is a price police the other way, but pretty good deal. You are basically paying $150ish bucks more per month for this one to get this 6 months ahead of the current schedule. (Caveat this with the fact that I am an owner, and I haven't opened mine yet due to travel.) Now get out your pitchforks.

Why would someone need to shop a new game that was HUO?

#10 6 years ago

Who said anything about shopping it?

PBL is the shaker and knocker.

HOP is the lighted rails mod.

He ment shipping.

Oh...I see. Supposed to say “Shipping”. Lol.

#13 6 years ago
Quoted from jake35:

assuming that was shipping cost? seems like alot to ship and I have never expected to get back my cost to ship a game to me, but supply and demand is all that really matters.

#14 6 years ago

he misspelled shipping as shopping

edit: ha every one figured it out

#15 6 years ago

Fwiw, I think this would actually sell somewhere between 8k and asking price. Glwts!

This one's tricky. You're getting a "used" game. But you're skipping the line as well...decisions, decisions. Someone may think the extra $1K is worth it, but I don't think it's completely out of line. I've already seen a IMDN LE on the marketplace for 11K iirc

#17 6 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

Mine was nearly that for shipping to VA. I agree it shouldn't factor into the selling price of this game, though.

Quoted from Grizlyrig:

Agreed. You have to price it high enough that you can give the hagglers a "deal".

Barely used, heck it's all tuned in and ready to go.

Right, that's what I'm saying...

#20 6 years ago

This will also begin the great debate on resale value of the "butter cabinet." Does it increase the value in the marketplace or not? Plus, gotta worry a little about shipping a butter cabinet per Charlie's recommendations.

#21 6 years ago

guys - this is a very simple thing. He's demanding a premium for you getting it early. Forget trying to make this a fair 1 for 1 - it's not meant to be. You're paying a premium to get it early and not wait. If you don't want to pay the premium, than it's not for you. I'm sure this will sell b/w 8 and the asking price as someone else mentioned. If not, seller will reduce to meet the eventual need of the market.

#22 6 years ago

That butter cabinet sure is pretty...

#23 6 years ago

What's a butter cabinet?

EDIT: Ah found it

"Cabinets are hand dipped in rich colored inks (no decals), lovingly rolled in automotive clear coat protection, and buffed to shiny delicious perfection. - $999"

It’s pretty simple. You can pay extra and buy yourself a really nice TNA today, or you can preorder one and wait 6 months. For the guy that’s gotta have it now, here’s you chance

You didn't finish your sentence. What you mean is "This game is not worth almost 9k ... TO ME" - which is fine. Don't buy it. Someone else may decide differently.

He put work into his game, instead of getting in early with spooky for this title. I'd say that makes more sense then I want money just because.

Like my uncle Louie?

And here I didn't even know there was a JJP LE version of this game.

Being relatively new to the forums, it's easy to see distinct patterns that are undeniable.

1) game is listed at a premium price
2) faction one dogs the seller for being crazy
3) faction two supports the seller for getting max value from the person who "wants that game now".

I find it very entertaining, because often the faction make-ups change depending on the game's Pinside reputation.

#38 6 years ago

I wish you were on the East Coast, I’d pay 8k+, good luck!

#39 6 years ago

Good for you. I had no problem selling mine for $700 over what I paid. Good game but needed the space for something I wanted more

Same thing happened with Rob z, gble and some other title's.... look where they are now . People need more patience when it comes to this hobby but unfortunately some just have alot of money and the just gotta have it first/now mentality

#41 6 years ago

I think the fact this hasn't sold yet says far more about how people are valuing the butter cabinet than the game itself. The ACNC butter looked much better than the TNA butter in my opinion. With that said, I suspect this will sell for either at, or very close to, the seller's price and good for him! I hope he gets it as he has the hot title that a lot of people want. GLWS

#43 6 years ago

Funny part is I sold that game for exactly what I paid for it. Never was able to edit the listings back then for clarity once they are archived.
That ask was actual market on the game back then, but I opted to sell at no profit to a friend.

I do like when people fail at logic though. It can be amusing.

Had to rib you a bit.....I don't think that was quite market price, but good on you for selling it.

#45 6 years ago

I always like a butter cabinet. On a serious note the game looks very nice, GLWTS.

(edited by mod team) What did you try to sell AMH for??? At least I can qualify the pricing and dollars spent unlike you. This pricing for this machine is totally out of line for what it is...ask what you want but it will not sell for this.

#47 6 years ago

@whysnow....this is totally up your pricing police.... ebay.com link: Hilton Hoodie Ultra Rare Pinball Item 1 of 1

It will work great for your route...HA! Did you puss out? Really?

#48 6 years ago

So that’s the Hilton hoodie huh...

I mean what type of personality would drive someone to create something like that?

Along with that other alien shirt deal....

How bizarre

I need to start including my shipping costs when I sell a game too. Because a buyer should definitely be paying for the shipping costs when I originally purchased it. It's like a "mod". Lol.

He didn’t really state that the buyer IS paying shipping costs - he just summed up what he had into it exactly and listed his asking price. The Higher listing price could all be for getting it 6 months early or it could be a $1000 mark up on the mods installed.

With how much some people are going ape shit over tna I’m a little surprised this hasn’t sold yet actually. Love the 9 down votes on initial for sale, lol.
