For sale: Time Warp (Williams, 1979)

Added: December 12th, 2015 Ended: January 10th, 2016
Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished

Item description

Selling my Williams - Time Warp pinball
This is a unique game for the era because it's one of 2 games that used curved flippers. (the other is disco fever)
This game also features 5 pop bumpers and 8 drop targets.
The rules are simple to understand and it's challenging to play.
The condition of this game is excellent! It has recently been cleaned, buffed and waxed. New rubbers and ball. The playfield is in great shape! only a tiny wear spot where the ball kicks out of a saucer.
The backglass is in great shape too. no flaking, only a couple tiny scratches.
The cabinet is also it great shape. No fade and very few scratches.
The boards have already been gone through: new capacitors, 40pin connector fixed, battery eliminator installed, all are very clean and bullet proofed using Vid's Guide.

Still available.

Best condition Time Warp I've ever seen, usually the backglass is trashed.

Thanks Vid!
I do like the game, but it's time to pass it along.

Getting it ready for the United Way fund at work. Basically it will sit there till it sells and make a little money in the process.

Just curious....can those banana flippers be traded for straight ones?

Yep, they can be removed.

Gonna be in Jersey anytime soon?

You could order it either way from Williams back in the day.

But if you want the great spin, you want the curved flippers.

#9 3 years ago

Banana flippers are what make the machine unique! Why would you want to change that??
Putting normal flippers in Time Warp is not allowed.

#10 3 years ago

er, because I HATE banana flippers....

#11 3 years ago

The curved flippers (they were never called banana flippers by Williams) are the only way to spin the ball and blast all 8 targets at once.

You can never do it when anyone is watching, because they would cream their jeans.

Are you SURE you're not coming to Jersey?

If I made a trip to NJ, I would probably fly.
That's a long haul.

seriously! WOW! Amazing condition Time Warp and great price on this title/condition. If I had the room I would have already picked it up. Curved flippers are really fun once you figure them out.

Great price for such a nice game. I agree, the curved flippers are great once you get used to them.

Love my Time Warp.
This game looks much nicer than mine.
GLWS!

Thanks for the bumps!
Time Warp continues to make a few dollars for the United Way as it waits for a new owner.

On the Time Warp flyer they are simply referenced as "Curved Flippers".

Maybe bananas do not time travel well?

They just turn brown if you travel into the future (or green into the past).

"The flippers were shaped like a Jai alai cesta,...

" "Banana" was a term some outsiders applied, and it
certainly fits. We're talking 23 years ago. Why...it seems just
like yesterday......"

Don't know the reliability of this....

Traded Time Warp for a nice Stern - Sea Witch project pin.
