Quoted from FlashDaddy:

Pistol Poker is actually really fun to shoot and there's enough to the rules to make it playable. Good upper and lower playfield split too. It shouldn't be lumped in with Punchy or known terrible games.

It is fun to shoot, but the code is so shallow and the modes are worthless. I like the game, I do, but it needed another couple updates to be a great game. AS it is, punchy is just as interesting.

No way Bugs Bunny is below this. Even for a system 11 parts game.

Well, you're right...

Wait. I thought new games were supposed to debut at number one? Then they work their way down.

Not this game. It was Destined to start where it is.....

Why is this game so cheap? Isn't it that fun?

It is that fun, that’s the problem.

#307 5 years ago

Theoretical question.
So if this game sells here does the estimated value based on past sales in the game listing change the game price to reflect the sale here.
I.E. will the average sales price show $3525 when the games suggested retail price is $4999?
How exactly does this work?

#308 5 years ago

Congrats on Homepin for doing something no other modern pinball manufacturer has done!!! Literally nowhere to go than up.

#309 5 years ago

I shouldn't laugh but funny that it is last place in the top 100 sitting at 361

if only Mike was not so stubborn about coding and his methods on updating the boardset he could try and save some grace / sales with the game

Maybe they start at their maximum potential and then work further down.

Yes, that is exactly how it works, prices will get averaged out across however many sales of machine happen.

Quoted from benheck:

The boardset that Parker and I designed is a Masterpiece of Cheapness!
Amateurs are people who shove entire PC's into a pin.

I don’t understand this. PCs are cheap. A raspberry pi is $35. Even if you save $30 of that $35 by making a $5 board, you end up having to do more IMHO in software vs using off the shelf libs.

a pc alone cant run a pinball machine. at the very least you need a driverboard to fire coils, ideally you want logic boards to offload some of the communication. what ben and parker designed is truly the cheapest board (that can also handle HD video). OPP is the cheapest board period, but has limitations in speed and what it can display.

Well I've never played the game, but that's a cool looking speaker panel. Translite is ok too.

Lol didnt even notice the Baywatch Alien head at first, nice.

#316 5 years ago

Yeah it has main speakers and tweeters.

It's very loud I had no problem hearing the speech at Portland Retro Gaming Expo. So that's a positive!

#317 5 years ago

Did anyone spot the infamous/immamculate Alien Survivor easteregg on the translite? That's badass! Bump for a cool seller!

Wow! That’s a great price for a new pin. I think it’s definitely worth that price. Would be a great deal if you’re a fan of the old show

#321 5 years ago

I thought $3550 was your bottom price?

Good on you though, I don't know how many craigslist ads I see every single week, same price. Dude, if it aint selling, your price is too high. I honestly feel bad you're losing that much on a new pin.

AS it is, punchy is just as interesting.

I enjoyed punchy the clown when I had it. It was a neat game. The jackpot shot was pretty challenging if I remember correctly.

#327 5 years ago

Glad to see this has finally sold for the OP, gutted to see your loss though.

Punchy gets a bad rap, but guests enjoy it. I am going to part with mine (pistol already has a home to go to) and a few others. Less because of the game and more tired of trying to maintain so many and have projects ontop of them.

Gutted are you? You should set up a gofundme for the seller.

#330 5 years ago

If? The new owner doesn't enjoy it , it is a fantastic kit for a re theme base.
MIke was initially going to do a kit which is still a great idea.

Of course, why would any of us want to see another pinhead loose their ass on a game?

"Loose their ass?"
I don't think anyone wants to see the seller lose a bunch of money on the game because he seems pretty cool, but gutted is a word you might use if he lost his child or something. Must be a language barrier, seeing as how you are from England.

Yeah it’s fairly common for gutted to be thrown into any conversation where someone’s had disappointing news/or an outcome, at least in my circles.

i dropped my toast today was pretty gutted
