As a friendly reminder:
The official word:
1) Posting informational links WILL BE allowed. However, don't be a jerk about it, and don't go overboard. Keep it as a: "Hey, before dealing with this person, you may want to check out these links for information."
Simple. Nice. Easy.
2) Do not name-call. Avoid piling on. We WILL have to step in if things get nasty, so keep it civil at all times.
If you've politely posted your informational links, that's all you need to do. Having 75 additional posts about how someone is a "scumbag", or a "scammer" is not necessary....the linked information serves as all the warning that is needed. Any potential buyers should be responsible enough to research and make a decision on their own afterward.
3) If someone has a price that you feel is too high, the thread will die peacefully, or the seller will lower their price until they find a buyer. If the seller resorts to over-bumping a dead thread, then the mod team will handle it. Vigilante justice carried out by the community just causes unnecessary drama.
Quite frankly...piling on and getting into nasty arguments with the OP tends to bury posts, and can make it tougher for a prospective buyer to see the relevant information. (A sale thread with 10 posts, with 8 created by the seller, and two warning threads full of links is a lot easier to "figure out" for a new buyer than one with 275 posts full of angry people bickering).
Enhance your calm.
