I swear I'm not saying this to be shitty, but $15.5k demands extremely clear and detailed photos. These are... Lower quality. You might want to flip a few 100 to a professional photographer to present this better and help you sell.

#3 4 years ago

I think this is the game being sold. Looks to be fairly recent @2015
When finished

This is the restoration.

Since it is an HEP you first should state that in the ad tittle on the forum. Also you should have a documentation at HEP of your game. Just provide the link to the album.

Chris Beat me to it!

Good luck bruh.

I understand that a ton of work goes into a hep resto, but 15k for a Tom? Will take a very special buyer.

Not really. The seller is trying to sell it for what the HEP restoration cost! Usually that is a tough proposition.

High State Taxes! No Federal deductions anymore, Pinball prices soar! Move to Florida or Nevada and live it up.

They also don’t think road rules or common law applies to them!

I just sold a fully restored TOM that would go toe to toe with this one all day for $8k. Now, mine did not have brass, but it did have a great topper. Good luck. Your price is about $6500 too high.

#18 4 years ago

Beautiful game, but its not $15K beautiful....

Not to be shitty, but if its a semi recent HEP it could be as blurry as a photo of sasquatch and you still know its going to be a quality rebuild.

Do HEP restored games ever actually sell for this much? I see them listed for $10k+ all the time, but I don't think I ever actually see them get sold. I think a lot of people need to understand 99% of the time you'll never get your money back on restorations and you should really only be doing it as a passion project.

4 years since the restore. That can be a lot of plays and wear and tear.

#22 4 years ago

Love the cover! Very cool. GLWS.

Depends on the title mostly.
$15k for any TOM would be a record but if it were one of the HEP King Kong’s it would be a steal.
For me the titles are irrelevant I build them all the same. So it would be like a mechanic worrying about what a car that he is working on is worth.

Hence the need for better photos

#25 4 years ago

Custom cover or not, don't park it next to a window. Especially if it doesn't cover the whole thing.

Oh for sure. You do amazing work, so hopefully you don't think I was saying anything negative about your work.

No I didn’t. $15k TOMs would be a hard sell for anyone.
An HEP version of a game in general is going to command more than most others so that is about all that anyone can expect realistically.

#28 4 years ago

I think id take a $7500-8k offer and cry for about 3 weeks.

Yep....theres another HEP TOM for sale for $9K....$8500 is a reasonable price

#30 4 years ago

If you have HEP restore one of your games, awesome!! But don't try and get your money back when you sell it. Ain't happenin.

Isn't TOM a potential remake title?

#32 4 years ago

Not that I know of. I’m not sure they will ever remake any Jpop games, unless it’s a Zizzle remake.

Why not? Does he hold the rights?

#36 4 years ago

Is that trim 14 karat gold or something?

#37 4 years ago

Because he’s a big dbag and no longer regarded well in the hobby. A shame. Because TOM is a killer game and I’d be all over a remake.

Quoted from seenev:

Does he hold the rights?

Probably not, although I don’t know if he retained any IP or royalty rights for games he designed.

#38 4 years ago

Cgc already confirmed ToM remake....

#39 4 years ago

Doubt the remakes will come with that sweet custom curtain cover.

#40 4 years ago

this is the best thread today. thank you!!!!

the curtain better BE VELVET!!!! also, need a vid of the saw in action.

thanks,
hog

I can't believe someone hasn't stooped to the "for 15k it better have sex with me" low. Maybe pinside has turned a corner?

I believe Planetary confirmed long ago that TOM was on the list of potential remakes. I also dont think JPOP owns anything other then a list of useless pattons for crap that mostly doesn't work.

LMAO. Thanks jgent, I needed that.

I know it was on the list of potential remakes when that was released by Rick/PPS, but I’ve never seen anything confirming that it would actually be done or is in the works. If I recall, there were a few games on that list that they weren’t sure would ever be remade.

I could be wrong, and I hope I am. I would grab a remake, or a cheaper original once the remake comes out.

When the cover gets pulled off, do you yell “ Presto, Change- O!” ?

Great f**king price. I'll take 2

I'd give 10 grand cash in person for this pin sure.

The custom, satin cloak is my favorite part of this listing! Really, I can't see much of the game in these photos anyway, so it's all about the cloak!
GLWTS.

Relisted!

Nothing's changed.

But it's relisted! 10K times is the charm?
