Had to post my LOL at this one for price and description. I took the bait...

I'd love to have a simpsons and i'm in NJ.
But everything about this ad seems wrong.
1 post, signed up, donated and made this ad today?
Then asks $2000 more than the average simpsons with little to no description or pics.

Joe Balen's autograph is worth $2500

Where's that DE Star Wars kid when you need him?

If you knew Joe Balen well enough to get his signature you wouldn’t want to deal with us plebeians either.

Pricing Police comments aren’t really helpful. The market will tell him if he can sell. Yes you can find a huo one for $4500 but that is rare. Never for $4300 in the last 6 months. Been trading lately all the way to $6000. While $6000 is high it may sell. Everyone commented on the $9k White Water that just sold. All were wrong. It is now the new High Water mark. It cracks me up as buyers always say it lower but when they sell they are always high. Good luck selling.

Your correct...i was not saying it’s worh 4300 just saying I’d like to pay it ..game was at 7000 ..he lowered it to 5950 ..after the saw these comments.. just talked to him ..not a bad guy at all turns out ..

Wonderful. Doesn't change the fact he basically kicked down the door to an enthusiast site and for his 1st post listed a game for much more than market suggests... but does contain Joe Balen's (my 3rd favorite pinball artist!) signature.

If you do that, no matter how nice a person you are, you should expect to take some lumps.

Agree with that LOL!

So to stand up for a fellow guy from NJ,
Looked at the asking prices in our market place and at this price he is in the ball park. It also looks like games listed for similar prices are selling. Of course the sale price is not listed but they are selling. I would recommend more pics also. The normal wear spots on the pin. I have a super nice one and it is not leaving the house at a 4 handle.
GLWTS.

Glad you chatted with him. Remember most say or Best Offer. I have bought a lot of games that were really nice that I made a offer. In fact my Simpson’s I bought for $4400 a few years ago. The guy was asking $5500 as a perfect 200 play HOU with mods and invisaglass. I offered $4400 everyone else said he priced to high and did not offer. I got for $4400 a few weeks later. Game was flawless a really good buy. If it sells to someone else higher that is the market and good for the seller.

I more upset with the flippers on this site that constantly list games 30 percent over the pin side value and sell to new pinball people ...gives this site and the hobby a bad name ... and makes us all look bad ... this seller is knew and did not know any better ... game was listed at 7000 at first but after I talked to him I explained how thus works and he very quickly lowered his asking price

Maybe it's just that this guy originally got a good deal on this TSPP, but then he ridiculously overpaid some guy to wipe it down and install some LEDs for him?

I'd be more upset with that.
