The game functions perfectly and is beautiful to look at, but it is the first game I have owned that has an open playfield design and such a deep ruleset. What I have found is that personally, I prefer a crowded playfield with lots of crazy action to a game with deep strategy and rules. So, The Hobbit excels at being one style of game, while I have found that I prefer the other style. Don't let the fact that I prefer the other style keep you from enjoying a beautiful and well done game. I think the future code will take the game even deeper and that it will be one of the best of this style of games ever.
